Hi Protein Pals, how are you all? I am great! Weather here is crappy, grey, cold and rain snow mix. Hurry up Spring, I hate seeing "dirt banks" aka dirty snow banks

Accountability: excellent! yesterday was a particularly small pouch day and so nothing off plan

QOTD: How do you find your Bariatric centre for post op care? My centre is horrible. They are good at getting patients ready pre op, excellent surgeons so the surgeries are top notch but the post op after care sucks. When I had surgery in 2013 I was "enrolled"in a 5 yr program with them. I stopped going after yr 3 they were so bad. And I found out that after year 5 you are kicked out of the program. They never helped me post op anyways so I am fine with that. I literally know what I know because of being here on OH. Sad that there is not a standard across the Board. Some programs are outstanding for post op care and others like my center are at the best what I can "fair."

TSS: 5ys + 4mos

Have a great day!

Little easier every day. My son hates his vegan diet. I'm secretly happy. Vegetarian is so much more accessible.

Vegan is so tough!! Also, vegan cheese is not good - deal breaker right there!

Good morning Daisy and Menu Pals!

Today it's going to be 60 and tonight it's going to snow. Yay Spring!

Accountability - yesterday I had a goal of only eating what was on my plan, so of course, I got busy on a project until it was "too late" to cook and then swapped my planned burger for ever roast chicken and cheese and went over on calories. Today, I will eat on plan!

QOTD - my center was pretty good, I really value the amount of prep they gave before hand and their 10 week pre-surgery program was critical to me; they have a once a month support group that was interesting but it was never when I could attend. I feel it set me up foundationally but I've had to find everything else after that outside the program -- thank goodness for the people here!

I have done my burpees for Jim's challenge...and I'm skeptical I can ever do a 100, maybe 10 sets of 10 over 10 hours, lol.

B - Elli quark complete -- these bowls are tasty but high calorie/carb; I won't buy again

L - 4 oz ever roast deli chicken and 1 cheese stick

D - 4 oz ground beef, 1 slice cheddar, 1 pickle spear

S - L&F greek

and of course, all the coffee! and the tea and water!

Have a terrific day everyone!

Somebody help me out here. Do we post in the morning what we plan to eat for the day OR at night what we actually ate for the day? Lol.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Many of us find that making a food plan for the day really helps to stick to healthy eating, so we come here at the "beginning" of the day and post our plan. Some people really manage to stick to it, for me, it is the plan but things do change. In the end, having a plan, then measuring and logging our food is helpful. Glad you're here.
