Good Morning! Happy Fri-YAY!

Daisy, love that pic is just plain awesome and speaks truth! Crazy day today as we are having the flooring redone in the main bathroom (we did the rest of the house when we bought it but waited on the bathroom since we weren't doing it the same as the rest of the house. Weekend plans are up in the air because we don't know if they will finish today (we are also having some baseboards repaired that got damaged by some flooding due to the rain the last few months. Yum, tacos sound so good.

Accountability: Well this question is going to be a little different for me for awhile. I had my 2nd appt with my therapist yesterday and for now let's just say I am working through tons of stuff and taking small steps with hopes of not just putting a bandaid over some issues. I will try and explain a little here and there but just wanted to explain if my answer here seems vague or doesn't make sense.

QOTD: So much yes! I never realized that I used my weight so much for moving things and what-not. I sometimes even struggle to push certain doors open now.

Thank you! I know it's a long road but honestly feel I am ready for this even knowing that some days are going to be rough as I uncover some very buried things.

We all have issues, and we chose food as our drug of choice. Now that the food is no longer there to pacify us the issues will come out. My hat is off to you, Kelly, for tackling them head on. I'm still too chicken so I just concentrate on the food intake.

Hi Daisy! LOVE your meme! I am glad that you have a fun weekend planned. I am always happy when I come on OH and see that you've posted because it means that you aren't suffering a massive migraine

No big plans here. Today we are expecting light snow followed by rain...and then it will be 70 on Sunday. Back when I was SMO and a smoker (omg I cannot believe what I did to my poor body) weather changes like that meant a massive sinus headache was incoming. Now, I can deal with changing weather like a champ. I think we will go on a long bike ride on Sunday.

B: 2 oz ever roast chicken (I ran out! Must make emergency trip to Giant today!), 2 oz havarti cheese

L: Will be working from a Panera, so maybe broccoli cheddar soup and chicken cesaer salad

D: Ribs for the boys, chicken patties for the girls, shrimp for me :)

E: Nothing today and it feels so good! Boot camp tomorrow and some crazy high intensity drop-in class Sunday.

My big boss was laid off this week...we had massive layoffs across the board and it's been pretty stressful. I think my anxiety is manifesting itself in my dreams. I had a dream that my boss (who is probably 50 and has a lovely age-appropriate wife) LEFT his wife, and started dating a girl in college!!! In my dream, he was showing up all over Instagram with his new 20-year old wife, making duck lips and taking selfies. LMAO! In my dream, we were all gossiping about how he was having a mid-life crisis. Pray god, this is not what is yet to come! It was soooo weird.

That is a crazy dream. I've only ever been in tech but it seems like we are the absolute worse for staffing up and then laying off. I know other industries have layoffs but they don't seem to be a common as in tech. So frustrating!

Ugh, yes, they are so frustrating. What is really affecting all of us about this round of layoffs is that they don't appear to be performance based. They appear to be a cost-cutting exercise. So it makes a lot of people wonder how hard they want to work if they are just so expendable. HR is supposed to be doing 9-box exercises and succession planning and performance reviews...and if you can be laid off despite having fabulous reviews, well, that's just not very motivating for a lot of people!

Hang in there. I hope you are not on the chopping block.

I always worry that if any layoffs happen, because DH telecommutes twice a week he would be the first one to be let go.
