Mornin'!

I'm feeling a bit anxious this morning. Something has been a little "off" with me all week, and I'm not sure what's going on. I think I just need some alone time to figure this out so I'll know what to do to "fix" it. Luckily, our "adoptee" is (mostly) back at the house where he's renting a room. He's sort of consumed my life the last six weeks, so it's been hard to get things done and would be hard to figure out what's going on in my head if he was still around here much of the time. He can be pretty needy and pretty intense. I'm not used to dealing with that. I'm not complaining - but I'm just not used to it. DH is pretty independent and self-sufficient - and we've never had kids, so...

I might get us tickets to see the "A Way With Words" taping tonight (it's an NPR show - I'm a big fan). They're broadcasting from here in town tonight. I really shouldn't be such a cheapskate and should just go....

film class later this morning, then lunch with a friend. I'm supposed to help another (new) friend with some stuff at her house today (was supposed to do it yesterday, but something came up for her so she pushed it off until today), but she's pretty intense and I'm not sure I want to be around that today - I really need to be by myself

accountability - I don't like extremes of temperature on either end, so yes, I run the A/C in the summer in both my house and my car. Although I don't crank it up as much as I did when I was SMO. I'm not freezing all the time anymore, but I don't get super hot like I once did, either

3 years 9 months out:

B: blueberry protein pancakes topped with 1/2 C homemade cottage cheese and blueberry sauce (no sugar added), coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: meeting my friend at Panera Bread, so probably a cup of turkey chili

AS: if needed, light yogurt and/or raw veggies dipped in hummus or ranch Greek yogurt

D: Turkish chicken stew

ES: same as AS

ex: I probably should..

Sounds to me like one thing you need to learn is to say no. Your friend who you are helping postpones and you fall into step the next day. Whatever the reasons, good, bad or indifferent, sometimes you need time for you and the only one who can make sure you get that mental health time is you. Hope you get to feeling better. I sympathize with the anxiety, mine has been worse lately and not sure why myself. Maybe it's the upcoming changes with retirement.

Good morning all~ I'm stressing out about getting the house ready for Jess to come home tomorrow. His room is full of boxes, I haven't arranged the furniture or made the bed. Normally I would leave this all up to him, but he physically cannot move anything or make a bed. He can't stand for more than 15 minutes and bending + lifting are no-nos... So I am leaving work early to go home and take care of getting his room ready. I'm worried about the stairs, I hope he will be okay....Beyond all that I am so excited he is coming home!!

The ice cream experiment, day 2... OMG - Quest cinnamon crunch protein w/cashew milk (i added a lot of extra cinnamon) was to die for! Super creamy - SO FILLING I couldn't fini**** and it would easily make 2 servings. I had never tried cashew milk before, I couldn't believe there are only 25 cals in a cup?!? I had some in my tea and it was amazing. I think I'm a convert although the dark color kinda threw me. I think I'm going to save the ice cream making for weekend treats as it throws off my weekday eating schedule. I don't like going to bed feeling so full.

QOTD - I run the air at my office because its stuffy more than hot. In my car I love it, I need the air to be moving at all times. In the house, it never gets hot enough to bother where we live but now that we don't have so much cold tile, that may change. I do use fans a lot. I enjoy the sun so much more now and I really hope that doesn't change.

Accountability - There were many, many almonds

2 years, 3 mo - 169.4

B- coffee x 3, L&F greek yogurt

l-egg beaters and salsa

d- boneless chicken thigh + blue cheese salad w/lite ceasar dressing

es - the other portion of the cinnamon protein ice cream - probably won't fini**** all

I agree abut needing the air moving even if the temperature isn't terribly hot.

Well, apparently, I forgot half my post so here's the rest.

Accountability:No issues so far.

QOTD: With Summer on its way here how do you feel about air conditioning? I don't need AC right now. I'm cold!!! I'm tired of being cold. I'm ready for Spring. And I live in the south. Go figure. Now by June, I will love AC but I will still go outside and walk. July will probably rejoin the gym cuz it will be too hot to go out and hike.

Exercise: Walk / run more than 10,000 steps and 30 minutes of strength training. I've actually been averaging around 15,000 walk / run steps.

Water, about 15 cups a day, at least 12 with pure water.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I had my surgery Dec 11, 2018. Weight was 325 day of surgery and today I weighed 240. Chili has been my go-to food the last month. Lots of good information on this site, keep up the good work!
