Good morning OH! We had a crazy storm last night. Thunder, lightening, high winds and pouring sideways rain ALL NIGHT LONG. Our fur babies did not like that at all...our cat is still hiding. When I got up at 5 it was nice and quiet thankfully. I didn't want to drive to work in that! I tried the protein shake made with water in the ice cream maker last night and I really liked it - it was very filling! I can see how using milk - cow or nut, half and half or cream would take it over the top and I may try that as well, but I did like the icy-ness of the water. I am going to play with this, try milks, yogurt and my other protein powder flavors. I have a cold brew iced latte, cinnamon crunch, salted caramel, and vanilla. Tonight I'm going to try Sheila's suggestion of cashew milk w/cinnamon crunch Quest YUM!
My son is finally coming home on Friday He will have such a long, tough road ahead of him but he will have so much support. I can't wait!!
QOTD - I usually drink a minimum of 150+ a day in my normal routine. When I am off my routine or super crazy busy that suffers and I can tell right away in my vision and dry skin. I drink 30 ounces of caffeinated coffee, 30 ounces of tea (either caf and herbal) and at least 90 ounces of ice water. Sometimes when water isn't doing it for me I will have a vitamin water, crystal light, or diet soda to break it up.
Accountability - I went to the vitamin store yesterday for protein powder and ended up with a Quest peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, which I ate it with reckless abandon, in the car, right outside of the store.

Yay for your son returning home! And your ice cream recipe sounds delicious. I don't feel able to indulge as yet, but there may come a time when I ask you how to make it. Maybe, anyway! My brother in Santa Barbara told me last night's electrical storm was the wildest thunder and lightning event he's seen there, ever. Kind of exciting! We live in interesting times, climate and weather-wise!

Yes we do live in interesting times weather wise - its crazy! Fortunately, I have no desire to eat real ice cream, or any halo top grocery store protein ice cream full of SA - they upset my stomach something awful. I have really am enjoyed frozen yogurt and look forward to playing around with the shakes!
