Fibre - really strugling...
I've found it really difficult to eat anything fibrous. Spinach, cabbage, and most vegetables just make me feel terrible.
so today I tried "Fybogel". It's solvable fibre that you take in a drink.
Went down fine, but 2 hours later I vomited it back up...
I know we need fibre, to feed the good bacteria in our gut, but how are you guys getting it? Anyone else have issues with fibrous vegetables?

I use a combo of benefiber (equate brand) and gummies from I think, fiber well but I also don't have troubles with veggies. Perhaps your servings are too big and you need to work up to larger servings?

Oh my, at a few weeks out from RNY, I was not getting in any vegetables at all. I could barely manage 60+ grams of protein a day and didn't have room for veggies. I would suggest some Miralax to help things move along and just focus on getting in liquids (aim for 100 oz if you can) and protein...veggies will sit much better later on :)
we don't need a lot of fiber. I get that from natural sources like fruits and veggies. No supplements for me.
My system works much better without too much fiber

My constipation has really let up now that I've started on solid foods. But I also take Benefiber twice a day and am eating oat bran in the morning with chia seeds (breakfast is my one moderate carb meal of the day). I was concerned about the oat bran having too many carbs, but my nutritionist told me that the carbs I take in should have a goal. Since oat bran is a great source of fiber we agreed that it's a good choice for me!
My goal is to no longer allow food to be detrimental to my health and well-being, but rather learn to utilize food to enhance it!
