You look AMAZING, Cynthia! And I'm the same way. I have to see a picture to really realize what size I am--especially a picture taken with others. My mind is such a mess!

You got the "I own the gym" look down. I would not get on a machine anywhere near you.

Mornin' All!

another Arctic blast blew in last night that will hang around through tomorrow night. Great. We have to take one of the cats over to the vet's this morning (he's getting stem cell therapy - hope this works - it's not cheap, but if it works, the cost of doing this vs. the cost of his meds over the next couple of years (which he won't have to take anymore if this works) will be about the same. So fingers crossed. Then if it's tolerable outside, I'll head over to my Russian history class at 10:00. Not much else on the agenda other than trying to tackle the ongoing projects I keep talking about....

QOTD: I think the holidays convinced me that regain is real and it's hard as hell to take off. I'm currently 0.5 lbs above my long-time weight limit - so down 3 lbs since the holidays. It took FOREVER to get that off, so no way am I letting this happen again. If it takes that long to take off 3 lbs, I can't even imagine taking off 20 or 30 (or more!).

3 years 9 months out:

B: three protein pancakes topped with homemade Greek yogurt and homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce (no sugar added), coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: probably Everroast chicken & string cheese roll-ups

AS: light yogurt and/or raw veggies dipped in 2 T hummus or ranch Greek yogurt

D: Turkish chicken stew

ES: same as AS

have a good day, all!

Good morning. I have just two days in the office and then I am going to work from home Wednesday through Friday. Marilyn is going on a tennis trip and I need to be home to drive the boys to and from school. I guess its not overly warm in Phoenix this week, but definitely better than Chicago.

I am determined to have the house clean when Marilyn gets home Sunday night. There have been trips when she has come home to a pile of dirty dishes because I have been overwhelmed by trying to feed and watch the boys for five days.

QOTD: We are getting right at it this week! First, I am not confident that I even know what my goal weight should be. I initially set 215 because that's lower than I had been at any time in my adult life. I got to that fairly quickly. I have decided to set a new goal of 195. I don't know if that is really the right number or not, but I feel pretty good about hitting it. Once I get there, I think that I will get the Dexa scan. It seems like a good idea.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: fish

Snack: Light and fit

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all.

Jim - I had a hard time with determining goal weight as well. I got as low as 178 ( normal BMI). I looked like a walking skeleton and did not look healthy. I then settled in to 190-195 as my goal. I also wanted to mention that I am good friends with a former draft pick of the Blackhawks, he was drafted in 91, was a goalie and was behind Hasek and Belfour and Jimmy Waite on the depth chart. He had a bad knee injury and his career ended early. He has many good stories from his playing days. I help him out with a Goalie Camp that he runs.

Hockey players and Marines have the best stories, don't they? Your friend played in the Dollar Bill era when the Blackhawks were notoriously cheap even by NHL standards.
