What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers
Annyyyyyyyy!!! YAY for tomorrow at 11:30! That is SO exciting! I am also impressed with Jamie for giving you the butt needle lol. I think Kris would pass out if he had to give me a shot. Seriously, he's worse than the kids when we get flu shots at CVS! He puts on a big boy face but he's dying inside...
Happy Monday-
QOTD: This is a great question and not an easy answer. I too was a machine and lost my weight quickly- I was down 165lbs at my one year anniversary and at goal within 17 months. I actually am at my goal weight right now but not at my lowest. Does that f** with my brain? Yes.
Here is the thing- Skinnier does not equal healthier mentally or physically. The last 18 pounds I lost was all muscle. ALL. I had muscle wasting as well as severe blood sugar issues. I would never have known I had muscle wasting if I didn't go for Dexascans - but I did, and I am glad I found out. Ignorance is not bliss. I tried to solve it my way and it wasn't working. So as I have said I had to listen to people smarter than me. That meant changing my diet, making all foods acceptable, adding carbs back in and yes I did gain weight. But in this I realized that single goal number is a myth- there is a range of normal. Even people who have always been normal have a range of normal.
The whole -am I normal question or just in denial has been plaguing me. So I got up the other morning and took pictures of me in a bikini to send to my plastic surgeon so he can post them on IG for my 3 year lower body lift anniversary. Bikinis don't lie. I look damn good, and would have killed for this body when I was 400 pounds. I just need to get over myself and that number on the scale. I have gained but I have not had regain.
Is there fear of regaining it all? Yup. This is the first time in my life I feel like I have a fighting chance of keeping it off.

I won't post bikini pics here but this is from the gym on Thursday. Pics are the data I need sometimes to speak to my brain and my body dysmorphia.
