What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers
Sounds like a wonderful experience Emily. I hope he is able to make it work. You and ryley sound similar with your love of adventure and people. When he was in HS he would meet with the Exchange students at the College, they went to dinner, they came to watch him play Hockey. ( Joddie was a nurse at the school at the time and made the connection for him). The college kids treated him well and I think he learned much from the Students.

My son studied in Toulouse France for 6 weeks this summer. He was 17 and won a scholarship. I'm sure he'll find a way to get back over there for a semester in college. He had a great time. For us it was the quiet in the house that is in our future.
I wish I would have had that experience. Maybe after he's done with college!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
I didn't do much this weekend except try to stay warm. I stayed curled up underneath my heated throw with two dogs on my lap. We got MORE snow and the temperatures are SO cold. -10 degrees this morning, feels like -29!!!
QOTD: I don't remember how long it took for me to get to my goal, which is lower than what it says below. My lowest weight was 137, however I have regained some weight and now weigh 152. I'd like to lose some of that regain, but I don't need to get all the way back to 137. I am hoping that once this severe Winter is over and I can get back outside and walk with my dogs it will be easier to lose weight again. I find myself wanting to eat due to "cabin fever" and boredom and also being cold makes me want to eat something warm. This has been a tough winter.
Accountability: Yesterday, ate too much: Protein - 104, Calories - 1,420, Carbs - 142.
B: 3 strips bacon, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: 160 calorie meal, light & fit Greek yogurt
D: microwave meal, light & fit Greek yogurt
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana brownies
Have a great day everyone!

It's Monday. Again.
Again there's snow here. Annoying snow. Super heavy, stupidly timed snow that gained me nothing! Last night many schools and libraries called a 2-hour delay. I waffled and didn't do it and then when I woke up this morning it was FINE...wish I had called the delay last night LOL.
Gulp - tomorrow is the big day! I got the call yesterday afternoon that my egg retrieval will be tomorrow morning at 11:30am. That meant last night my DH had to administer the trigger shot, which was A GIANT NEEDLE into my bum! He was a complete baby about it in the lead up, but did a great job when it came down to it. The nurse gave me a sample numbing patch, which I thought wasn't doing anything, but apparently was because I didn't actually feel a thing. Wish I had kept that myself though, so I could have milked it a bit - tee-hee.
QOTD: Regain has been real for me and it sucks. It was a slippery slope, paved with stress and emotion. All the things that got my MO in the first place. I suppose I'll say I'm glad I caught myself before I got truly out of control, but I'm not sure that's even true. I was pretty out of control there for several months and getting back to basics is harder than the original process.
TSS: closing in on 5 years
B: coffee with half and half, egg cups
S: Siggi's yogurt
L: egg salad and a string cheese
S: apple and cashews
D: naked taco (aka, taco meat, not tortilla)
S: not allowed to eat after midnight, so something a little more substantial that I'm not sure of yet
So...send me your good thoughts tomorrow morning please!
