morning friends!

this week is super dragging for me--obviously because I just can't stop thinking about vacation next week lol.
It's also been kind of slow at work so it's not helping! Not that I want it to be super busy but I'd welcome the distraction so I can just get through the next 2 days.
I have a little bit of anxiety about not being prepared enough or planning enough but that's just my natural state. We finally caught the neighbor to verify she can take care of the pets and get the mail while we are gone which is a huge relief. I don't know how I would've managed to arrange a pet sitter on this short of notice otherwise. that's what I get for leaving DH in charge though. He is definitely a procrastinator which makes me so nervous!
His only other job was to book the car service to pick us up to get to the airport on Saturday. I am such a control freak, I hate giving him jobs like this but I need to be able to let go of some of the responsibilities and trust that he can take care of it. It just makes me very anxious.

QOTD: I think they have already pretty much invented all the ice cream flavors I could ever want. I have definitely gotten creative with my own ice cream concoctions in the past, but I really love this salted caramel/pretzel that I can only find at Jewel stores, I think it's their signature brand?...but also anything with PB in it, or coffee...I am definitely a fan of ice cream. I know I'd dump from regular ice cream so I have not had it since surgery, but we are fans of all the halo top flavors we've tried. I just got a chocolate mocha chip flavor that is ridiculously indulgent and only 90 cals per serving so I'm good with it!

Morning: coffee w/ 1/2 Caramel PP
B: 1/4C cottage cheese w/ 1 HB egg and EBB seasoning, 1/2 C red grapes
L: the last of the white chicken chili
AS: Robert Irvine cinnamon twist fit crunch protein bar
D: leftover pork rib tips--we need to get rid of the leftovers before we leave on Saturday.
ES: halo top as mentioned earlier :)

my evening snack planning seems to be working for me...I am down another 2.5 lbs as of this morning...10 lbs to go til goal!!!

I actually LOL'd at your being a self admitted "control freak" and hate giving your hubby jobs, that is so me too! I give my husband "tasks" and due to his procrastination or his ADD (I self diagnosed him with ADD, he is just all over the place most days LOL LOL) I end up doing the tasks myself.

I am impressed on your "evening snack planning," evenings are so HARD for me and snacking so I totally get what you are going through. Congrats on down another 2.5lbs, that is awesome! I have to tell you that I often lose weight on vacations due to the amount of walking and activities and I often end up only eating breakfast and dinners and always come home lighter so you never know you might lose on your vacation as well!

Quick post today before going to open up food pantry. The wintery weather missed us but hit south so son was called off work. He's going to help me because hubby is getting a cold and doesn't feel well. And NO ONE wants to be around that! Trust me. Accountability was good yesterday both food and stepwise. Not enough fluids though and woke with a headache that went away after 20 ounces. Weight today 124.8. Lily and I will walk after lunch today for 4 miles and another 1.2 miles before supper. She's so funny in the evening as we walk past these houses with all these little yappy dogs barking at her. I walk--she prances and struts. And takes her time in front of the yapping dog's houses. It's too funny! Heres todays eats B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 2/3 c cheesy broccoli soup D 4 oz garlic and herb tilapia 1/2 c green beans S sm apple 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices everyone!

Good Morning! It is Friday-Eve and I have a jam packed day ahead. We got some rain but it was gone by mid-morning and so far today it just is kind of gloomy and misty.

Accountability: Due to some work news there was some stress eating.

QOTD: Hmmm, that is a hard one since my tastes have changed so much. I think something coffee/caramel with almonds. It's funny you mention the churro/cinnamon combo. Last week I picked Em up from school on Thursday and stopped to get her a treat on the way home. It's called Cream and basically you make an ice cream cookie sandwich by choosing the type of cookie(s) and ice cream. Em almost picked snickerdoodle cookies with an ice cream with churro chunks in it.

Time since surgery: 4 years 6 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Mikey's lemon blueberry muffin top, carbmaster yogurt and a SF almond milk latte

D: BBQ chicken pizza on ½ flatbread, small salad, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1266 Protein:117 Carbs:100 Fat:54

Have a great one!

I knew something as wonderful as churro ice cream had to already exist.

Kelly I am sorry you are going through a rough time at work. Stress is so consuming in our lives and I hope that this does not continue for you, sending love.

That is awesome about the ice cream sandwich, and I love snickerdoodles & churro's I am a sucker for anything cinnamon & sugar flavoured!

Good morning, everybody. My six month appointment went well. My Baritrician thinks I should keep losing if I can, so I'm going to try and figure out what my ultimate goal should be over the weekend and then adjust my ticker to reflect that. I function a lot better when I have clear goals to measure against.

Today I have a dentist appointment. It was supposed to just be a cleaning but I have two chipped teeth and I somehow managed to drop my blood pressure monitor onto my bottom mouth guard and break that clean in half, so I have to get refitted. The Baritircian thinks that the chips are just bad luck and that its way too early to have calcium issues (the first was 2 1/2 months after surgery).

Three pull-ups without coming off the bar!

Breakfast: Bratwurst

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Steak

Snack: Light and fit

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all.
