Junior Friday?
I had a horrible evening/night (but spoiler alert, I'm feeling better this morning). I was killing time before an evening work meeting at Target when I got a call that turned out to be from my fertility doc. He was pretty much calling to manage my expectations - he said not as many follicles were growing as he would have expected and so if we went ahead with a retrieval we would probably only get 2/3/4 eggs, not the 5/6/7 eggs he had projected. He still suggested going ahead and continuing stimulation and retrieval, but wanted to make sure we knew what was up. Well, isn't that a kick in the pants? Especially while in the middle of Target.
I promptly bought one of those little packets of Cadbury Mini Eggs and wallowed (thank god for the little bag - 190 calories was worth it, damnit).
This morning I went to my monitoring appointment and the doc himself did the ultrasound and said things actually looked a little better to him. It still isn't 50 follicles like some women get, but it looks more like 4 are maturing and another 1 or 2 might catch up between now and the retrieval.
Talk about roller coaster of emotions! Anyway, looking like the retrieval will be Monday...

all you need is ONE GOOD ONE, just remember...I remember being really disappointed when I had my retrieval and they only got 9--then only 5 were even viable for fertilization...but out of them, 2 ended up perfect embryos, and I just needed the one!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending out all the positive vibes

I can't take credit for "Junior Friday," I think that was Emiepie
Aww Anny what a ****ty phone call to get in the middle of Target before having to go into an evening meeting. It was super nice of the doc to give you a head's up, I would have wanted that but crappy timing!
I am sending tons of baby dust follicle growing power from Canada for you!
I call it a win that you only had one small bag of the cadbury mini eggs, the damage could have been worse right! You got this babe.
Cadbury mini eggs sounds perfect
