What is on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?

Carl Ray, it's so good to see your post! I've thought of you many times and have wondered how you're doing. It's great to see your arctic, snowy, Canadian self here once again!
I'm glad you got a car, though if -22 isn't what you consider severe enough for driving, i don't want to experience what is! But then I'm an ex-Californian, and used to a much milder climate, which despite the snow we've had is true even up here in Seattle.
Morning! I'm still so sore from the workout(s) I did on Tuesday. Jon helped me to foam roll my quads and glutes last night and that helped a bit but was pretty excruciating during the process. We're also stressing a bit right now because our mortgage lender for the house we're building failed to notice a detail that will now change the type of mortgage we can get and requires an additional amount of downpayment. It's likely they will make at least some of that up by giving us more towards closing costs, but we had a pretty strict monetary plan that needs to get even more strict for the next 3 months unless they come up with $8k for us.
QOTD: My favorite Ice Cream is vanilla with Jiff peanut butter swirled in. I haven't done that since pre-surgery, mind you. I otherwise have pretty much just adapted to Halotop/Enlightened and I'm fine with it. A couple of times per summer I get a craving for some good vanilla soft serve. It's been too cold to think about ice cream yet!
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream (only one this morning)
- (2) Eggs, (2) Slices of Cheese in a low-carb wrap
- Leftover Jerk Chicken w/ bites of sweet potato, cauliflower and basmati rice
- TBD, I took out pork but it's unlikely to be thawed enough
- Protein bar, nuts, sweet potato cauliflower leftovers (those are the things I have with me)

Glad you got to do some foam rolling, I don't use one personally but I have heard many people say how amazing they are for recovery.
I am so bummed for you and Jon on the mortgage lender thing. What a **** show. Fingers crossed it all works out for you guys.
Mmmmmm to vanilla soft serve, what I wouldn't do for a "Peanut Buster Parfait" from Dairy Queen right now!

Oh, the foam roller -- that B* has mad me cry more than a few times..but then it hurts so good afterward. Definitely a love-hate!

Mornin!
I'm going to a film class later this morning - then I have to go to the gym or do at least SOME KIND of exercise, since our Turkish friend has decided on his own to become my personal fitness coach (which is fine with me! I need it!). Not much else on the docket, although I have a lot of things I need to get cracking on. It's so easy to brush things aside that I'd really rather not do...
accountability was good yesterday. Need to really watch it the next few days since I have some restaurant meals coming up (dinner tomorrow, two or three lunches next week - ugh).
QOTD: it'd be easier for me to answer this question at night, although then it would unfortunately get me fantasizing about ice cream. The thought of any kind of sweet dessert-y thing first thing in the morning turns my stomach, so I can't even contemplate this question right now - UGH!
3 years 8 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with cherry/cranberry sauce (no added sugar), coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: salad with TJ's grilled chicken strips
AS: light yogurt and/or raw veggies dipped in hummus or ranch Greek yogurt
D: turkey chili or Turkish chicken stew
ES: same as AS
ex: depending on when the film class is over, either an aqua fitness class or the stationary bike (or maybe I could do aerobics at home....I have a gazillion VHS tapes in the basement...)
Good Morning, I had a nice lunch, and I did not eat the fried calamari yesterday. Ha.
Except I was kind of a hot mess yesterday- woke up to low blood sugar, was dipping again before lunch then when I ate snack before gym it didn?t agree with me- and everything I ate the rest of the liquid or solid caused pain and belching. Also was feeling like I was going to puke during workout but felt it was BS so asked for a banana and sure enough that helped. Yup hot mess. Esophagus is sore today. List of things I never thought I would focus on- my esophagus.
Kind of nervous about food after yesterday
- Overnight oats and protein
- Thai veggie noodle bowl with turkey
- flounder and veggies
- S: protein, protein muffins, baked apple
ex: gym day
QOTD: I am a vanilla girl at heart- but can get behind Peanut Butter and fudge swirl with graham cracker chunks.

Your description of that Thai calamari yesterday had my mouth watering! I love that dish.
I hope your blood sugar and pouch behave today! It really can ruin a day right. Feel better and take it easy today, go slider foods if you have to.
Oh fudge swirl and graham cracker chunks sounds divine!
Are you protein muffins home made or store bought. If you have a recipe can you share? Thanks!
They are homemade and adapted from this recipe from @workweeklunch on IG. Makes 12 and MFP stats are for 2. Obviously your stats may differ based on your ingredients. Anything sugar becomes sweetener of SF maple syrup. I use 1 tsp Cinnamon and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice instead of 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice. Use cashew milk.
Main change is instead of flour I use ½ c Quest Cinnamon Crunch protein powder. You can use any protein powder just don't use 100% whey protein isolate- it does not bake well. Something with some Casien in it is better.
They are perfect pre-gym. I bake about 20 minutes. Also taste better after refrigerated.
