Thanks for your thoughts Daisy! I certainly agree about having alot of things on my plate, but I am also thinking that having a new focus that is fulfilling may be a really good thing for me physically and mentally. It would also be really good motivation to keep exercising and stay in shape.

Happy surgiversary.

On the trainer thing, why not? It's a testament to your hard work when your trainer asked you to join him. Give it a try.

Happy Surgiversary to you, Janet!

Work sounds really good, yay! And congratulations on getting your 2nd teleworking day back!

Becoming a personal trainer would have some benefit on a personal level, I would think, as far as further cementing your commitment to moving and exercise. Plus you can really help people who have struggled with their weight, and can you imagine the benefit to post-ops working with a personal trainer who was a WLS vet? But I think it comes down to enjoyment - how much enjoyment doing this would give you, and if it would outweigh the necessary time and energy commitment, etc., given your work schedule and your family responsibilities.

Happy Anniversary! Seems like things are feeling much more optimistic for you with getting your 2nd telework day back and being able to do some adhoc training - that's great! Regardless of if you decide to do the PT thing, how awesome and positive that your trainer recommended it....you have really changed your life so much!

Good morning! The walk in was chilly at -22, but I stayed relatively warm for my definition of warm these days. I have now bought a car, but I still like to walk and save it for truly nasty weather days.

Menu is good. Breakfast is a protein bar and a coffee, though I have discovered the Kirkland ones available in Canada have inulin, and that seems to make people extra gassy. Switching back to Pure Protein for my weekday breakfasts. I like them for work days, and go with real breakfasts in the weekends.

No snacks unless I just need a shake or something, but I still never feel hungry so I'll just go through to lunch likely as not.

Lunch is a bowl of chicken soup. Supper is a meat lasagna with a salad.

QOTD: I think I'd probably create something savoury and salty with crunchy stuff in it. There are enough flavours that are sweet. Not sure, really.

Here's a pic just because.

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

Hello fellow Canuck. LOVE the toque!! Love the pic! Looks like me when I hike with my dogs, all you can see is the slit of my eyes! Where about in the GTA are you? I am North West End, Caledon/Brampton/Georgetown area.

So jealous you don't feel hunger, I was not one of those lucky ones and my hunger came back, UGH

Meat lasagna, yummmmmm I miss all things pasta, I stay away from it because I can't moderate my portions because I effing love pasta, enjoy!

Stay warm eh

Lol thanks! This toque fits good so I hung on to it and threatened the kids, haha..

I'm in SW ON, a few hrs from the GTA, but I travel through that area a few times a year, usually on my way to some adventure north.

The hunger thing, I don't really miss but I expectit will come back. The doc says sometimes it doesn't. I think it's very weird to only feel "empty and maybe shaky if it's been too long" and not have a growl to remind me. I had a discussion with the clinic about that and they said it wasn't a problem but it was a rarity. I have no hunger, no real craving or desire to eat ate all, still now. I spoke to a few knowledgeable people about this from a psychiatric view, and it could be a head thing, but not a real concern. When I eat, it's the right stuff (mostly) and portions. So I don't worry about it a lot. The disconnect is odd though. I have a hard time remembering that feeling, so when commercials bombard me with messages of the next best food, it's very weird.

I'm not fond of pasta, which is only since the op. There are a few foods like that which I don't like anymore. (Bacon, for example.....blech!!!) It's been an adventure in discovering that stuff the past couple years.

I'm caffeinated now! Nice and warm. Lol
