What is on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good morning, everybody. Today is my six month follow-up appointment with the Baritrician. I am excited to see what they have to say. I will drive in since I am going to the doctors on the way home. One of my favorite things in winter is to ride the train. Its nice and warm on the train and I can read while snuggled up in my seat. So much better than sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the highway.
I think that we have a place to stay for spring break. Its a little further from our family than we would have liked but the house itself seems great.
QOTD: I took French from 4th grade through 2 semesters of college. I can't really speak or comprehend spoken Fren*****ollege i could read novels in French.
Breakfast: Turkey sausage and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: Hamburger
Have a great day, all.

Good morning menu friends! Accountability yesterday was good both step and foodwise. Weight today 124.8. QOTD I had 2 years of French in high school but it's probably all gone now as I never used it. Lily and I will walk our 4 miles in a bit and will do another 1.2 miles right before supper. Here's todays food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz leftover ribeye from last night D 4 oz fish 1/2 c cauliflower S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day full of smart choices everyone! Time for the first cup of coffee of the day!
Mornin'!
I have class this morning from 10:00-noon, and that's it! I have a lot of projects I need to be working on that have been brushed aside lately for other things (mainly due to spending a lot of time with our international student friend, but there have been other distractions, too), but I have NO EXCUSE for the next couple of days to get moving on some of these. So - that's what I'll be doing today!
QOTD: I can (usually) read French and Spanish but can't really speak either one (for reading, you don't have to worry about things like verb conjugation, and if you understand at least half the words in a sentence, you can usually figure out what is being said). I've studied German, Swedish, and Japanese, but only remember a few words of each. It's just been way too long...(and I never gained proficiency at any of those three like I once had with French & Spanish).
Accountability - I went over my calorie budget yesterday and also had Japanese food for lunch (soy sauce really does me in), so my weight was up this morning. I'll be undereating a bit the next couple of days to make up for it...
3 years 8 months out:
B: three pumpkin protein pancakes topped with cinnamon Carbmaster yogurt and homemade apple/cinnamon compote (no added sugar), coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: salad with TJ's grilled chicken strips
AS: yogurt or cottage cheese, raw veggies dipped in hummus or ranch Greek yogurt
D: Turkish chicken stew or maybe just sweetened whipped cottage cheese with raspberries
ES: same as AS (if needed, that is)
ex: something. I'll see what's going on at my gym this afternoon...(I prefer classes to just exercising on my own)
I had suspected some Turkish with all of your Turkish connections.

actually, our "adoptee" wants to teach me! I do know some words and phrases - but they're mostly greetings and food-related things (had to learn those so I could order at restaurants when I was traveling alone in Turkey a few years ago!!). So far, we've just gone over the alphabet and a few simple words like numbers and colors and days of the week.
Good morning all! I'm dropping my car back off at the shop that installed my remote start so they can re-install it CORRECTLY free of charge. If it's still not right, I'll demand them take it out and a full refund. Waiting for a coworker friend to pick me up from here so we can carpool to the office.
Qotd: I can speak some Spanish, we have a high Hispanic population here in Omaha, but I'm by no means fluent. I speak more of a Spanglish hybrid lol
breakfast: Greek L&F in my bag, coffee at work
lunch: meatball subs on the menu along with Italian sausage and peppers. I might have a little bit of each (no bun, just meatballs)
dinner: pork chops and roasted butternut squash--the last one from last year's garden, right as I'm about to start seeds for this year!

Mornin Folks!
Having been born & raised in Florida, I give up on paying attention to weather forecasts. I just assume it is going to rain at some point during the day and keep a sweatshirt, close toed shoes, flip flops and an umbrella in my car so I'm prepared for whatever Florida decides to do that day lol. Don't even get me started on the News stations and hurricanes down here. I don't bother unless it is a category 3 or better.
QOTD: I currently don't speak any other languages; however, I am returning to college in June and will be taking 2 years of Spanish and I understand just enough now to awkwardly stumble through small talk.
TSS: 6 years 6 months
B: Tried a new sausage/cheese english muffin but the pouch has veto'd it so I'm tossing the rest that I bought the other night.
MS: greek yogurt w/raspberries
L: 4 oz baked chicken w/swiss & a few green beans
AS: a medium navel
D: diced ham & carrots ... and I'll prolly snag a bite of my daughter's potato
I'm horrible about remembering to take pills/vitamins daily but I am 3 days out of the hospital and haven't missed a dose so I'm pretty happy on that front.
Time to get cracking at the office, I was actually able to clear a whole day to catch up on some pleadings that need to be drafted so I'm off to be productive. Make it a great day everyone!
