Bonjour mes amis, how are you all? I am good. They are calling for a huge snow storm here today, will believe it when I see the snow on the ground. Don't you find the media makes blows weather totally out of proportion and snow storms generally sound like Armageddon and then we get maybe an inch of snow? At least that is how it is here.

Good Morning Daisy and yes, the weather people (at least out of Baltimore) make a small snow storm into snowmageddon. At this point of the winter I am over the snow and really look forward to the time change and getting my hands in the dirt.

Good morning everyone! I, too, am amazed at how they cover storms these days -- I think there's so much drama in every storm that people are going to end up not taking a major storm seriously at some point with negative effects!
QOTD - my two years of high school french got me into my company 23 years ago and that's pretty much the last time I used it! I also spent 2 years supporting our latin american team so I'm pretty good at reading spanish but I'm not super comfortable speaking; I need to join a conversational group and practice more. I am in awe of polyglots like you, Daisy, especially when your language skills are unrelated languages! A couple of my friends send their kids to immersion language schools and I am so jealous.
I am very out of sorts this week, which isn't really like me. Everything is making me cranky so that's awesome (not). Need to adjust my attitude for sure - I'm thinking this evening to get into a late pilates class or see if I can find a place to get my hair done...but it's scary finding a new stylist!
Menu - coffee and more coffee, then tea
B - carbmaster cin raisin cottage cheese
L - 4 oz ever roast, 1 oz cheese
D - I'm thinking a burger patty but haven't decided
S - some type of yogurt
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Oh, that is a really good point! Change is change, and I've been anticipating the move for so long, now that it's done, it could completely be part of my little funk.

Morning! The Smar****ch I mentioned buying yesterday was terrible and I mailed it back already. I did some research and bought another one to try. I did a kettlebell work out and then ran 2.5 miles last night. I run a lot but hadn't been doing much strength and now I'll never be able to sit on the toilet again - I'm so sore! Therefore, today will be a rest day other than my normal 2-3 miles of walking around campus.
QOTD: I took Spanish in high school but about 85% of it has left me. Here in NC kids take Spanish starting in 2nd or 3rd grade so both my kids are well exposed to it and my youngest is being placed in the AIG program to hopefully get her some additional exposure to languages because she loves them. She loves Korean especially.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x2
- (2) Eggs, (2) Slices of Cheese on a low-carb wrap
- TBD, I am going to go out for something. I probably will get sauteed cauliflower and mushrooms, one of my favorite lunches with a deli here.
- Burger w/ Sweet Potato (I ended up going to run club and just had an Apple for dinner last night)
- Protein Bar, Nuts, Apple w/ PB

I just sprayed coffee on my screen...that having to fall onto the toilet is a good/bad thing for sure, isn't it?

that's great they're starting languages in elementary school there! I was in high school in the 70s there (well, in NC - but we lived in Raleigh, not CH), and they were behind my previous high school in Ohio as far as languages go. I had to pick up French & German because the level of Spanish I needed wasn't offered there. They only went as far as Spanish 3, but I started Spanish in middle school, so that wouldn't have worked for me. (of course, this probably depends on the district - Chapel Hill's demographics would be very different from Raleigh's - I would assume a majority of the kids have parents who work at or go to UNC-CH, so they'd really push education for their kids. But then, it could be that all schools are starting languages earlier, too - not just there). But anyway, that's great. Also great about your daughter's interest in languages!
