What is on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
good morning everyone!
Last night was much better on the snacking front. still not GREAT but I did make a better choice than Sunday night where I decided to make myself a Halo Top sundae with SF chocolate syrup and cashews. I mean don't get me wrong, it was insanely delicious and it WAS low carb and high protein BUT i did not need the extra calories and it definitely triggered my fat brain. I wanted more immediately after I finished the small dish I had...I probably would've made myself sick if I didn't measure it all out beforehand.
Last night I opted for a L&F greek yogurt and a few pretzels...lower in cals, higher in carbs...but it's sooo satisfying to my sweet/salty cravings!
I usually skip my afternoon snack, so I am going to try to make the plan for an evening snack instead since I know I am having a hard time avoiding it.
If I plan to have something in the evening, I think I can avoid the "hmmmm what do I want" mentality and just eat the thing I planned for....that's the hope anyway! I'm in a trial and error phase over here.
QOTD: I LOVE SUMMER! I hate winter...I enjoy fall and spring too but summer is everything. It definitely can get pretty humid in northern Illinois during summertime but I love being outside, feeling the sun on my skin, going to the beach down the street, playing with sidewalk chalk with Story...and i cannot wait to be able to get out and ride our bikes together this year...Story got one for her birthday but it was November and she has not been able to ride it outside at all yet. she just keeps going around in circles in the basement while we're down there exercising or doing laundry LOL.
Morning: 2 big thermoses of coffee w/1/4 caramel PP each
B: 1/4C cottage cheese & 2 HB eggs w/ EBB Seasoning
L: white chicken chili
D: DH is cooking something...not sure yet--trying to keep it simple this week with less leftovers since we are out of town next week...maybe breakfast for dinner-eggs & bacon?
ES: L&F greek yogurt & pretzels
Have a fantastic day my friends!

Good morning, everybody. Daisy I'm sorry to hear of your migraine. Janet, its good to have you back.
Our Spring Break plans are up in the air. We had rented a house and about two weeks ago we got a notification from the rental company that the house was being sold and the owners were cancelling on us. Apparently this is allowed in the rental agreement. So we found another house and that didn't work out. Finally, we rented a condo. It was overpriced but something. Well, we just found out last night that was sold and we are out of luck again. So we are back to looking.
QOTD: I love summer, so a big yes. Technically, fall is probably my favorite season, but it only lasts a few weeks and its hard to look forward to it because winter is right on its heels.
Breakfast: Turkey sausage and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Chicken chili
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: Mahi burger
Have a great day, all.

We have gone through both. Over the years we rented many times from VRBO without incident. We were looking to rent near Boca Grande. I think we have found a place in South Sarasota.

Maybe I'm a fatalist, but if this happened to me THREE times I would change destination. Somebody is telling me not to go there.

That crossed my mind Sheila, but the plane tickets are paid for and their are grandparents involved.

G'morning Daisy & Menu family!
Daisy - sorry about the migrane, I was hoping the new treatment would help.
Janet - good to see you back.
We are waiting for a huge storm in my area to the point that CHP has put out warnings for commuters. It's supposed to be a "flood of rain" all day today. It hasn't happened yet so DH is sneaking out with Luna for a short walk. I guess I'll skip my afternoon walk with her if it's as bad as they expect it. Good thing we are both working from home today.
QOTD: summer here is weird. Mid June through beginning of September we get a lot of fog on the coast so it's not that hot. Sometimes the fog doesn't burn till mid afternoon. Those of us who live here love it because we have natural AC all summer but the tourists who come here during that period are always disappointed because there's not much sun. Mid Sept through mid Nov is our Indian summer and it's glorious. Not too hot but sunny every day.
Accountability: not so good. Protein cookies or bars are the death of me. Can't just have one and enjoy it...I eat all of them.
B: protein coffee
L: meatballs
S: parm. Cheese
D: Tuna + hb egg
Have a great day.
