It makes me sad that I live in a lovely neighborhood and I almost NEVER hear the sound of kids outside playing. We were literally gone all day, until we got hungry and swung back to the house for a snack, usually with a horde of kids in tow. Or someone's mom called my mom to say we would be eating there. It was just a simpler time I guess.

Good morning all! Yesterday was an intense day for me. The library is working on a new strategic plan and we had a power day of gathering community feedback. I got to the library at 7am and didn't leave until after 8pm. We had focus groups with community leaders, parents, and teens, as well as a meeting with staff and then a Town Hall style meeting in the evening. Got lots of great feedback but I'm exhausted today - definitely leaving early this afternoon!

Accountability: I ate crap all freaking day yesterday. Many donut holes and cookies and basically nothing of the carefully planned and packed meals...

TSS: almost at 5 years

B: coffee with half and half, egg cups

S: cottage cheese

L: rotisserie chicken

S: apple and almonds

D: balsamic pork and brown rice

S: pb pretzels and Thin Mints

A week into stims and everything is progressing as the clinic would like. I'm exhausted, can't sleep, and have a headache all the time - so that's fun. It looks like my egg retrieval will be Sunday or Monday, so the end is in sight for this phase.

Good morning menu friends! Nice sunny day here in Illinois. Lily and I will head out in a bit to do our 4 miles. We'll do another 1.2 before dinner. QOTD yes we travel all around Indiana and Illinois doing mission work trips with the Nomads. Also lots of other camping at our nearby state park will be done which we love. Accountability great til 8:30 when I had 4 tiny dark chocolate Hersheys which I did not need. I went to bed a little after 9 to stop the eating frenzy. Weight today 125. I need to hit at least 100 ounces of fluids today. Heres the food plan B2/3 c earnest eats pro hot cereal L 4 oz deli ham D 3 oz ribeye 1/2c green beans S serving pork rinds. Trying to add a veggie with dinner to see if that fills me up more and decreases the urge to snack. We shall see. Have a great day full of great choices! Time to start some coffee!

Mornin'!

Busy day yesterday, not so much today. I may take my Turkish friend to yoga at 9:30 if he's out and about - otherwise, I'll go myself - or do it here (it's freezing here again today!!). I told him I'd take him to this Japanese place for lunch today because I really want him to try sushi - he's never had it, and IMHO, it's Japan's great gift to the world. Meeting this afternoon for the organization I chair. Otherwise...???

QOTD: I'm not a fan of extreme temps on either end, but right now, I'd trade this crap for summer any day!! I am SO READY for this winter to end!! It's already the end of February - it should NOT still be this cold! (snow - yes - it can snow well into March - but these low temps are really unusual for this time of year).

3 years 8 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade blueberry sauce, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: sushi. May also order the miso black cod and split it with him

AS: raw veggies dipped in hummus or ranch Greek yogurt (and/or just some light yogurt)

D: Turkish chicken stew

ES: same as AS

ex: yoga

have a great day, all!

good morning! Not much going on today, just getting ready to venture out to work.

qotd: I'm looking forward to being able to go play outside in the garden, and I'm buying a bicycle so I'm excited for DH and I to go out on the local trails. I'm actually kind of anxious that warmer weather means less clothing, and I'm really struggling with the extra skin and body image. I can wear a cardigan over short sleeved tops now but that will be awkward in 100 degree temps! And bathing suit shopping, ugh. I'm more anxious about these things now than I was 100 lbs ago.

Breakfast: Greek L&F, coffee

lunch: I actually wrote down the lunch menu for this week! Today is Italian roasted chicken OR pork loin Marsala, roasted Brussels sprouts, and green beans. I'm not sure which protein I'll go with, whichever looks like it's not dry--the chicken sometimes is.

Dinner: leftover salsa verde chicken

I certainly understand the body image thing after losing lots of weight. I was able to have some PS this past May but I probably won't be able to have all of the "fixing" that I'd like to have and will have to just live with hanging skin.

I do have some personal advice on the swimming suit front. I know that some people are comfortable wearing very little after large weight loss...love your body just as it is. That said, I felt much more comfortable wearing more covering both when I was MO and afterward. A website called JunoActive has GREAT swimwear for larger sizes--1x-6x. It's not cheap but very comfortable and excellent quality. Also Coolibar has more sizes of all kinds of outdoor wear. I often wear swimming tights, capris or shorts rather than a bikini bottom or one piece that is cut up the sides. Just an idea if you are interested.

I've been looking at swim shorts rather than traditional bikini bottoms and rash guard style tops. It's the skin on my thighs and arms that bothers me the most, I feel like I can easily hide my stomach. Ironically, it's the stomach that insurance is most likely to cover for me for plastics. I've been getting rashes under my arms after exercise (chaffing) so I've been taking pictures to have the documentation.

Also check out Swimsuits for All, it has larger sizes and they are super cute.
