Good morning folks!

I was out of town last week and we didn't have wifi and the cell reception was very spotty so no posting or reading. I had a few treats during that time, specifically a couple of corn muffins, but otherwise lots of protein and veggies. My weight is up almost a pound but that may just be "plumbing" issues. I did do lots of exercise while I was away--shoveling snow, walking, running and 2 good gym sessions, plus the house we were staying in was in dire need of a good clean so I went to Walmart and bought a cart load of cleaning supplies and went to town. It was supposed to be a vacation but it also felt good to make the place look sparkling again.

QOTD: last summer was my first one at goal weight and I really enjoyed the warmer weather and sunshine until the DC humidity hit (80+% humidty with temps over 80F). I admit that it wasn't as bad as when I was MO but I was still miserable through mid-September. We don't have any big plans for the summer since DW's health and employment is very up in the air. I'd like to do some long weekend trips within a few hours, but that'll be the extent of it probably. I do look forward to doing more outdoor walks, hikes, runs, etc. though.

Menu:

B: coffee, DD turkey sausage wrap

S: Chomps

L: hopefully fish & salad

S: Chomps, apple

D: ?maybe a TJ's cauliflower crust pizza w/ chicken & artichoke hearts

E: not sure since no time for a walk at lunch today

Thanks Mike! I really appreciate the friendships & support that I have developed here over the last 2 years. My surgeon's follow-up program isn't very good so having this online source means a great deal!

Good morning Daisy and menu folks. Wind warnings in the area all day yesterday, snow all around us but we did not get it. I read that Mt Washington in NH broke a wind record yesterday at 171 mph, crazy or what?

Sorry to hear you are getting migraines, hope you find relief and glad you are here and posting while you are going through it. ( I am not so sure a male could fight through it...LOL)

QOTD - I am ready to start hiking this spring, then on to camping and kayaking, we do not have 4 weddings this year like last summer so our time will be spent outdoors! I love Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks, we are fortunate to have them in our backyard!

B - Egg salad

L - Salami and cheese

S - Ham roll up, pork rinds and ranch

D - Meatloaf and Baked asparagus

E - Cardio Night

202 this morning - 7 lbs to goal.

Stay healthy my friends, Mike

Oh Daisy, ugh, another migraine?! I am so sorry. I really hope this new regimen helps you. How long does the specialist think it will take until you get relief? When a migraine hits, do you stay at work??? I can't even imagine. I can barely function when I have a sinus headache. Do painkillers help at all? Painkillers make me sick (nauseated) BUT if the pain is bad enough, I can sometimes tolerate one or half of one. Ugh. I'm sure you have a lot of work to catch up on so no stress if you can't get to my questions...just know I am here, rooting for you!

QOTD: Yes, for the most part. It's WAY too humid here in the DC area, but now that I am not SMO, it's easier to take. I also get a keratin treatment to help my hair be less frizzy (my most expensive vain treat for myself) and now that we live in a neighborhood with a pool, the kids LOVE going swimming so we spend time there. I miss Michigan summers of my youth - I have such vivid memories of playing outside until almost 10 pm and it was still light! It wasn't oppressively hot or humid. Ahh, the good old days lol.

B: Leftover rotisserie chicken and I guess cheese. This really does NOT sound appealing, but I am in dire need of groceries.

L: either tuna or Chipotle bowl (no rice) but all the good toppings!

D: grilled turkey burger, plus fries for Kris

S: mini peppers with greek yogurt and powdered ranch dressing

E: Spin! Work has really ramped up but I am still leaving my home office, working out, coming home to shower, and then working at night. It helps my sanity.

Have a great day, everyone.

My summers were like yours Emily, I do Not ever remember saying I was bored, never had to ask "what is for dinner" , was always outside and on the go, even in the winter...
