What is on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
They did an amazing job with the colorization, there is a 30 minute segment after the movie credit ( we did not stay), that explains how they achieved the new look. It was very graphic at times, we were surprised at that, but very good. The trailer for Apollo 11 played prior to the movie and it looks like it will be an incredible production. I want to see that as well.

My weekend was cold and wet until about 12pm yesterday when the sun came out for the first time in 10+ days and it got to almost 70 degrees. It's supposed to be nice again today, but more rain later in the week. My oldest had a sleepover on Friday night so my younger daughter and I hung out and watched Gilmore Girls. Saturday I had an eye appointment and Sunday I went to run club and ran in the cold rain. Then we went shopping and had lunch out.

Good Morning
Went to my fitness workshop in NYC on Saturday, it was 96.8% personal trainers so I was way in over my head LOL, but it was fun and worth it.
Had my pizza too. Cute little Italian restaurant not just a pizza joint. Made a point of letting them know I am deathly allergic to fresh basil, so my only choice was the white pizza. First rendition came out with fresh basil cooked in it anyway. So I had to send back. Got a free glass of wine out of the snafu... so I was happy.
QOTD: I dont't have a hypothetical question for vets. Most questions have been answered on here... and if there is an actual situation then the answers are probably better. I think the rules for initial weight loss phase are pretty standard issue...maintenance is not one size fits all, and I don't think it will always look the same for me depending on other factors in my life and health are happening.

G'morning Daisy & Menu family!
How did you like the Oscars? The winners? The dresses? We had an Oscar party and tried to have a theme but not everybody followed the rules. It was fun anyway and just an excuse to get a bunch of us women together for eating and drinking. I stuck to my plan like it was nobody's business and didn't touch alcohol. I might have had too many veggies but I don't think I became MO by eating too many veggies. I guess I just needed my hands and mouth busy while doing the least amount of damage.
QOTD: sweets (like Karen) is at the top of my list. I would also like to know (I think somebody else asked this too) what is the most important rule to follow to have a successful maintenance.
B: protein coffee
L: stir fry cauliflowers + 2 scrambled eggs (my version of Chinese fried rice)
S: yogurt + SF syrup (frozen)
D: taco fillings (no shell, beans or rice)
Have a great start of the week, everyone!

Sheila!! You are one of my people!
Best dress - I'm torn between Helen Mirren and Regina King. Helen looked amazing but Regina was smoking hot and she owned the red carpet and the stage like a boss! I was also shocked when we looked up Bette Midler and she's 73 -- I want to look that good at 47 much less 73. Our party was very mixed about Emma Stone's dress - I loved the color, didn't love the shoulders. I also loved Julia Roberts!`
I was not a fan of many of the velvet head to toe tuxes, although I loved the velvet jacket, black pants look and the tuxes with subtle patterns were amazing. Jason Momoa and his matching velvet scrunchy on his wrist was adorable though.
There were a few looks that were too high fashion for me, I'm a fashion rube - Awakfina, Kacey Musgraves, Rachel Weisz, Sarah Paulson; the dude in the dress (not because it was a dude in a dress but because the dress was ugly -- it was very "dark pope" looking.
I also wasn't loving Lady Gaga's yellow diamond until I read that was a 30 million dollar necklace, last worn by Audrey Hepburn...and then I found it much more lovely.

OK...so this needs to be done in person and IRL but I'll try to do this justice. I feel like we are on fashion police so I'll try to disagree without being snarky!
I'm not a ballgown fan but there were few I liked. Sorry to say didn't like Regina or Helen because it was too obvious. Same for Gaga! I read the story about te diamond too...wow, but can I be snarky and say the choker was literally choking her? Emma Stone's dress looked like a beehive!! Rachel Weisz with that plastic bolero...yuck! Sarah Paulson with the two pickaboo holes and her hairdo just looked weird. The pics of her this morning were just hideous. Aquafina(or however she spells her name) is actually on brand for her but not my cuppa tea.
Who I liked even though they did wear gowns:
Constance Wu - yellow dress (Versace)
Laura Harrier - sky blue beaded(LV)
Melissa McCarthy - black white pant dress (I have a soft spot for her) I had to fight for her with the rest of my friends not to put her on worst dressed list
Danai Gurira - gold dress
Ashley Graham - black dress va va voom
Serena Williams - red V, black dress
Guys - couldn't care less, they all wear tux. Although Aquaman with his height and bulk looked kinda silly in a pink tux but each to their own. A pic of him with his tiny wife both in pink could be cute but again not my cuppa tea.

Laura Harrier was divine! That color on her, amazing. I also was in love with Danai Gurira's hair -- she looked good.
Sarah paulson actually started discussions about if she had made that dress at home -- and we were all so snarky, dressed in our sweats/active wear, etc.
The one high fashion look that I really loved (and was razzed for) was the very pink taffeta duffle coat gown that Gemma Chan wore -- I though the color was amazing on her and the flower neckline framed her face so nicely...plus she looked warm and comfy, and had cookies in her pockets.

Everybody LOVED Gemma's dress but I was the outsider again. It looked great on her but to me it looked like peptobismo. Too much dress for that little frame. It looked comfy and all and it was Valentino but if I had the money and that body I wouldn't choose it. Again, these people wear what they wear to awe and shock. I guess she was successful because everybody is talking about her dress.

Our running commentary on the train wrecks is that they need better friends, lol! A good friend will not let you leave the house in some those outfits!
