What is on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Mornin' All!
The Oscar party last night was fun. I only met the host a few days ago, but I felt right at home. There were some fun and interesting people there. We took our Turkish friend along with us, and he had a blast (he's a real movie buff - knew more of the movies that had been nominated than the rest of us did!). I ate too much, but it could have been a lot worse. I'm OK with it...
I start my new class later this morning (Russian History) and I have a meeting this afternoon re: the future of an organization I co-chair. I have a few errands to run, too - so this is going to be a busy day (a busy WEEK, in fact). But that's OK!
QOTD: like WriterGurl (sp?), I'm on here every day (actually, several times a day), so I can't really think of anything that hasn't already been answered.
3 years 8 months out:
B: three protein pumpkin pancakes topped with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 C homemade apple/cinnamon compote (no sugar added), coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: something quick because I don't have much time. Maybe cottage cheese
AS: raw veggies dipped in hummus or ranch Greek yogurt, light yogurt
D: This Turkish chicken stew I made yesterday
ES: if needed, same as AS
ex: not sure if I'll be able to fit in a class at the yoga studio or gym, so I may do some yoga at home tonight
Good morning Daisy and menu friends! No snow here but we did get heavy frost overnight. Lily and I haven't ventured out yet but we will do our 4 miles sometime before lunch and another mile after supper. Accountability yesterday was good and weight is 124.8 again. Goal for today is at least 100 ounces of fluids. QOTD will it EVER get easier to ignore the sweets. I keep hoping but at 61/2 years post op I still want to eat all the sweets. Heres food for today B2/3 c earnest eats pro cereal L last of cheesy broccoli soup(1/3 c) and slice of deli ham D 4 oz ground beef with pasta sauce and cheese(pasta for the fam)Sserving of pork rinds with 1 T salsa. Have a great day all! Time to search out some coffee!
Good morning, Daisy and everybody. I left my briefcase at work intentionally on Friday because I was going to the hockey game Friday night via taxi. My plan was to pick it up after yesterday's game, but I ended up selling my tickets and didn't want to drive into the city just to get my bag, so today I have no briefcase to carry my book, glasses, snacks, phone etc. into work on the train. I guess I will just have to stuff my pockets full of things and revisit the MO look for a bit.
Also, no briefcase has meant no date book. All weekend long it has nagged me that there are seven things that I did over the weekend that I didn't get to cross off my list for Saturday. I love to cross things off. If I forget to put something on the list and do it, I will go back and write it in so that I can cross it off.
QOTD: How do I know what my final goal weight should be?
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all.

Good morning Daisy and Menu crew. Great weekend here as well,Friday night we went to Montreal to Ikea, Saturday we worked all day/evening on reorganizing and cleaning the basement, I built shelves, etc. What a Job!! Rain and sleet yesterday. Ryley and I went to the movies and saw the documentary " They shall not grow old" WW1 Documentary with computer enhanced old footage, was really good. I think that precious baby already has you wrapped around her finger:-)
i am very interested in seeing that movie, I heard the colorization is amazing. I am very intrigued that they are starting to do more wide releases of big documentaries like this one and there's an Apollo 11 one coming out soon that I will want to see too!
