What's on your Saturday Menu RNY'ers?
Morning from sunny and warm Orlando folks! We got here yesterday, race is tomorrow. We picked up my race bib and some other stuff at the expo. Disney really knows how to put on a show- everything has been well organized and laid out smartly so far. And everyone is excited for you- which makes it more exciting. Today we will sight see and explore. I'm glad we didn't do the theme parks since I would have felt pressure to get my money's worth. Yesterday I did a body composition analyzer at the expo. Blah on the weight (I think it's up due to all this water I'm guzzling in an effort to hydrate) but my body muscle outweighed my body fat- so I'll relish in that tidbit! Eating has been good- LOTS is temptation around but I'm being good.
qotd: NSV lately?? My body muscle/fat thing was a victory for me. And yesterday all felt so easy and natural-- I didn't feel like a fraud for a change. Packing for this trip was a breeze, no worries about what fit, and could easily coordinate outfits/shoes to minimize stuff to bring.
no scale- no weight, 3.9 years out
m1: hotel breakfast-- protein forward of course
m2-4: up in the air. I do have leftover from a seasfood dinner last night, so that will be in the menu somewhere Menu somewhere.

Good morning! Peach, it looks like you're having a great time!
we are hunkered down for the incoming blizzard, all stations are now agreeing on freezing rain, 5-7 inches of snow with 40 mph winds. They are predicting white-out driving conditions and power outages. DH dug coolers out just in case we lose power and need to save our food, but I think he's over-preparing.
Qotd: I can sit with my legs crossed! I don't know when it happened exactly, but a couple days ago I just placed one knee over the other like it was natural and I'd been sitting that way my whole life. Also, I'm on every of the FEW who aren't winded at my office after walking up to the third floor. Everyone else jokes about getting their cardio, but I do it several times a day now without batting an eye.
Menu: two over-easy eggs over a bed of sautéed kale is what I'm craving today. Maybe bacon chopped up with the kale.
Coffee all morning
lunch: leftover soup from the freezer
dinner: salsa verde chicken in the crock pot

All electronics and back up chargers are charged, and I have a few candles just in case! Now I'm just hoping we're over preparing for nothing ;)

Love your pictures and that you are NOT feeling imposter syndrome! You look strong and awesome and it's great the scan showed you how well you're doing -- muscle rules!!
I just finished 30 minutes shoveling my steps, walk and driveway so I got my workout in! I do have an intro to pilates class I have to do this morning at 8; they require everyone to do it before they sign up for the real classes; I'll do that, some grocery shopping and come home and chill. I was supposed to go visit my dad today but we talked last night, they closed the road out by them twice yesterday due to weather and he said he's got a chest cold and didn't want to give it to me. I wish he was not sick but I am happy to get a chill day at home, I need it. I'm going to catch up on some reading and True Detective. I also want to make some peanut butter cookies for the Oscar party tomorrow.
QOTD - pretty sure the fact that I did the whole driveway, walk and sidewalk in 30 minutes is my NSV today; I would have gotten it done previously but I'm sure it would have taken a lot longer, with breaks.
Menu today:
coffee + half and half times 2 or 3 and I'm going to make a big batch of chai.
b - 4 oz deli chicken
L - ?
D - low carb pizza casserole
S - L&F greek
Have a fantastic day all!
edited to add QOTD

Jen - are you watching Season 3 of True Detective? I've watched episodes 1, 4, and 6 so far and I'm a little confused.

Yes, I'm about to start episode 4 today; I've decided to go the every episode route vs focusing on the even numbers:-) It's not like Star Trek movies where the evens are the best!

Mornin' Weekenders!
I'm so amazed and happy for you being in that half marathon, Peach! What an accomplishment! Good luck with it - although I know you'll do great!!
Last I checked, we're supposed to have icy roads this morning. fine this afternoon (just rain), and then freezing rain/snow tonight. Looks like the worst of the storm will be south of us (sorry to you Chicago area peeps!). Our Turkish friend mentioned the possibility of spending the day in Milwaukee today, but it's an hour over there and back, so we're not really going to have time, given the bad weather "bookends" to the day. I'm thinking a movie instead - nice activity for a gloomy, rainy day - and we'll be more prepped for the Oscars tomorrow (I was invited to an Oscar party by someone I met at the coffee social I went to the other day).
I went to our area's newest Goodwill yesterday to kill some time and to see if I could find any sweaters that fit (a lot of mine are too big since i bought them while losing weight). I didn't see any that I was crazy about that also fit well, but I bought about five pairs of capris, one fire-engine red and the rest beige/khaki. I wear capris all the time in the summer, so having five new pairs isn't TOO insane, although four that are basically the same color? Everyone will assume it's the same pair! I did try to narrow it down to just one or two, but I liked them all. I guess at $3.99 each, it doesn't really matter, but still...
QOTD: related to the above. Sweaters (and other tops): I always used to head for the mediums when I weighed in the 130s. Now, at 150, they look too small, so I went for the larges. A couple of those sweaters fit well, but most of them were too big. The couple of mediums I picked up after trying on piles of larges worked much better. Body dysmorphia again. With some exceptions depending on the manufacturer, I'm pretty much a standard medium (tops) - and size 12 (pants). I need to etch that on my brain (this is an NSV only in that I'm a bit smaller than I perceive myself to be. This always surprises me).
3 years 8 months out:
B: three protein pumpkin pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 C homemade apple/cinnamon compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: I"m meeting a friend for coffee later on this morning (we'll probably be there from 10-12). I've already had my coffee for the day, so I might get hot herbal tea. But the place has these new things that are like Starbuck's egg bites. If I try one of those, that will be my lunch. If I just stick to the tea, then I'll come home and probably have cottage cheese
AS: raw veggies dipped in 2 T hummus or ranch Greek yogurt, light yogurt
D: maybe a chicken wrap with raw veggies and 1 T hummus
I'm participating here today so I can say good luck to you! I'm amazed by how many people I interact with that are doing some form of that race! It makes me think I should do it just so I can meet up with a bunch of people I'd love to see.
QOTD: I signed up a 4 mile race in April. The real NSV is that it's my second year in a row. So I've now been running long enough to repeat races.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x2
- 2 Eggs w/ 2 slices of Cheese in a Low-Carb wrap
- Leftover Pizza
- Pork Tenderloin w/ Veggies
- Protein Bar, Maybe some Halotop, Maybe some nuts
