Good afternoon! It's been a wild day starting with my car not starting. Completely and utterly dead for the second time in a month--no lights, not even the power locks work. I'm wondering if the remote start I had installed around then could be draining my battery? Any car-minded people out there? I'm going to try to jump start it and get it to the shop here quickly before we get a massive snow storm tonight.
It started snowing 10 minutes ago and is already coming down heavy. They're predicting 8-10 inches tonight and another storm system to come through this weekend!
qotd: my best friend is constantly on the latest fad diet, currently keto, but as far as I know, she's doing it incorrectly. She stayed with me over the weekend and I swear she added about 200 calories to each cup of coffee she had (3) by adding coconut oil and butter and was also eating "fat bombs" Through the day. I made a roast for dinner and she spread butter over her two helpings. I know keto is higher fat, but my understanding is that it doesn't defy the law of calories in vs calories out. She is always very gung-ho about starting but can't sustain these diets and always regains. It's the story of my life before WLS, honestly, but she looks down at me for my choice. So I keep my thoughts about her diets to myself.
Breakfast: coffee with premier
lunch: Asian-seasoned steak strips (3 oz) and grilled bok choy
dinner: leftover roast (sans extra butter)
might have a Greek yogurt for dessert later
