I have learned the last year and a half that carbs are not quite the devil I thought they were... my Doc's mantra always was:
Protein first then veggies then IF you have any room fruit then carbs. Carbs still on the list, just put them last. This little saying has helped me refocus my brain many times.

I agree with others about the job. I walked away from one once - with nothing lined up - because it got to the point where I almost thought it wouldn't be any worse being homeless than continuing to work at that place. It was scary - but I temped for the next six months or so - got some great experience and made some good connections there - and walked into a wonderful (permanent) job where I stayed for the next eight years. I never would have wound up in that job (the good one!) had it not been for everything else I went through to get there.

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
Glad to see you are back Daisy and way to stay diligent for your well being. Think of the poor folks who would just follow their primary and live with the hell. ( There are many that do for a variety of reasons). A wise friend once told me to always listen to your body. Very happy you have a plan.
Had a great weekend we went to Burlington Vt on Friday evening to Costco and Kohls, Saturday painted my youngest sons bedroom ceiling and 2 coats on 2 of the walls and then went to visit my baby nice, pic below. and yesterday we finished painting the bedroom and then prepped food for the week.
Accountability - spot on. I am fasting today and tomorrow. ( Eating between 11 am and 7 pm).
QOTD - Funny you asked this question today. I have an old friend ( he is 10 years younger than I, I used to babysit him) that is a competitive ( amateur) Kayak racer. He sent me an email yesterday to ask how I maintain my weight, what I eat, how I do what I do. Explained to me that he had a rough winter and added some weight and is having a hard time taking it off. I was pleased that he reached out to me. There was no discussion about WLS, only diet and exercise.....wow...am I normal? LOL
B - scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, Ham roll

So cute and cozy. The best spot in the house, look at all those pillows, the recliner, the baby and the dog. Who could ask for anything more?
