Ok, so Im at a place where I'm happy with my weight. I'm currently at 134, and I don't want to lose anymore. So, how do I maintain where I'm at? I'm so afraid that I'll keep losing, and end up hospitalized. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I was told many years ago that to maintain your weight; you need to eat your weight with a zero at the end of it (for number of calories per day)...example: 134 would be 1340 calories in a day to maintain that weight. My doc also told me that your body is what decides on your weight; not us! He said, "It will stop when it is at a weight that is good for you". Do you still weigh and measure your food intake? Are you moving (exercising) daily? How far out in your journey are you? All of those things come into play.

I don't weigh and measure my food anymore. I can pretty well eyeball it! I move as much as I'm able to, which isn't as much as I should, but all I'm able to do at this point in time due to an illness. I am 14 months post op.

if you feel you're losing too much weight, then coming up a bit on your calories will stop that. Keep in mind, though, that's it's very common to gain 10-20 lbs after hitting bottom, so keep that in mind as well. I bottomed out at 138 and now hover around 150, but I'm OK with that (at least now - it bothered me at first).

that 10x your weight in calories is a good rule of thumb - although some people's metabolic rate is better than others - and some people are more active than others - so you might need to play around with that a little. Maybe use that as your starting point, but adjust a bit up or down to find your sweet spot. It's a matter of figuring out how many calories you need to maintain your desired weight.
