Hello, weekend, my love! And hello menu world!
Neither DH nor I felt great yesterday heading to our Valentine's Day dinner. My IVF meds were giving me a raging headache and he was achy because... men are babies (sorry), but we managed to have a nice dinner. We shared a super thin crust pizza and each had salads. We also shared a dessert - which I then looked up on their website and found out it had almost 2,500 calories - OMG. Luckily I didn't eat much of it
QOTD: The MIL's birthday was last week, so we're spending tomorrow with her. We're going for high tea, to a fancy floral/lifestyle shop, and probably for a quick visit to my library to see the new mural. My MIL absolutely adores Beatrix Potter and is dying to see it!
TSS: coming up on 5 years
B: coffee with half and half, egg cups
S: cottage cheese
L: rotisserie chicken and a string cheese
S: srircha maple pumpkin seeds
D: pesto pork chop
S: PB pretzels and GS cookies (do as I say, not as I do)
This week my goal was to be attentive to my liquid intake and I've done really well so far. Trying to keep it up! I guess going to the bathroom every 30 seconds is good practice for when I'm knocked up?

Your last comment actually made me laugh out loud! How fun for the high tea; I love that whole experience!

DH said we were being "that couple" taking a selfie in a restaurant, but I didn't care!

Good morning everyone! I start video conferences all day in 16 minutes so I'll post fast!
It's awful when people in leadership do not uphold the standards and norms they expect everyone else to - I imagine it's even more frustrating when it's dealing with little kids!
QOTD - a surprise 60th bday for a friend on Sunday. It should be a blast, people coming in from all over the country that I haven't seen in a long time. My friend is a huge Broncos fan so he thinks that he's just getting a behind the scenes tour of the stadium but we'll all be there to surprise him and the horse thing is bringing out his cake! Sunday I'm spending with my mom - I'm going out to her house to get her so she can pick the colors/decorations for the 2nd bathroom -- it will be hers once she moves in so I want her to feel part of the process. I'm trying to help her see it as "our" house not "my" house but it's a work in progress -- one day she's excited and one days she's calling my sister crying about how awful it is. I'm just trying to go with the flow.
For photo friday, since it is one year - here is a 11/17 photo and photo from this month!
I'm working at home today so at least I don't have to worry about forgetting my food - have a great day everyone, I'll check in later or over the weekend!
Coffee + half and half, then tea and water
B - 4 oz deli chicken
l - cheese stick and 4 oz black pepper deli turkey
