G'morning menu peeps and happy day.

QOTD: we usually don't go out on V day, restaurants too busy and they want you in and out. So we exchange cards and presents. Funny thing is that for the last 4 years DH has given me the same exact card. I joke that either he has bought them in bulk or he really loves that card. It's a funny one and it depicts our relationship but FOUR years in a row? So I'm waiting to see if I get the same card again. Funniest part? He never remembers that the year before we talked about the card. He is my absent minded genius! DD texted me this morning asking about her dad's card. Too early to know. I also sent a huge V day care package to DD. I love sending care packages.

re: card - LOL! I once had a former co-worker who used to pick on me for being so frugal. So one year she gave me a birthday card in an unsealed envelope, and instead of writing in it, she signed her name on a post-it note and stuck it inside the card so I could re-use the card. So when her birthday came around, I signed MY name on a post-in note, stuck it inside the card, and gave it back to her. When my next birthday came around, there was the card again, with HER signature on a post-it note. This went on and on for like six years. It was hilarious!

I had done this with a gift bag with a friend, back and forth till it fell apart. But the card with post it is genius!!

QOTD: We have done both in our time together. This year I was spoiled with a new ring (pic tomorrow!) since our 15 year wedding anniversary is early March it is a combined Valentine/Anniversary gift. He surprised me last weekend at took me to the jewelry store when we were running errands. I had no idea he had looking at making some modifications to my original ring but after review and talking about it we decided to change things up a bit. YAY!!

Time since surgery: 4 years 6 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Realgood Artichoke and cheese poppers, carrots, carbmaster yogurt and a SF almond milk latte

D: Realgood beef enchiladas, shredded lettuce with salsa and sour cream, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran and 35 mins of elliptical this morning

happy V-day everyone!

I ended up leaving work early yesterday because Story's Sitter's other son is now sick, and they have had strep throat going around their house, so she is home again today but it's DH's turn to take a day off.
It was actually pretty nice since I got a few things done- I took her with me to the DMV and got my license updated (finally- 2 and ahalf years later LOL) with my new address, new picture and new weight! YAY.
I thought it was weird, but they don't let you wear glasses in your Licence photo anymore. I am so used to my face with glasses on, I feel like it doesn't even look like me!

I also got to spend some time making valentines day crafts with Story again, and I drew a cute portrait of her playing her guitar to give DH for Valentine's day while she watched Frozen for the 178th time LOL.

brings me to QOTD: we don't usually do anything special or go anywhere for valentine's day. I was still in the hospital last year after my surgery but got to come home on valentines day...we usually end up getting each other some small gift just for fun, but it's definitely just a hallmark holiday. we just like giving each other things LOL.
He got me a sweet witches cauldron mug & gave it to me last week, and I got him a tee shirt from his favorite 80's movie The Last Dragon, and gave it to him last week too...I did make a little valentines basket for story with a stuffed dinosaur and some tutu's and candy and I gave DH the drawing I made yesterday and a little hand made valentine I made while story and I played with craft supplies yesterday.

Good morning! I am so friggin' tired of this nonstop rain!It will be raining all weekend when we move too, lovely. Anyway, when I got home last night after work, I assumed I was gonna be working on our move but I looked around and I see what an amazing job we've done so far and I just relaxed, ahhhh. I'm getting passed the anxiety and moving on to excited which is huge for me. I have a 5 days off to move and get relatively settled which is really nice. Rob works from home (lucky) so he is able to get a lot done too.

QOTD - I like my low key Valentines day. We are picking up Chinese take out and a bottle of wine tonight. We exchange cards, he gets me flowers and I get him candy.
