What's on your Valentine's Menu, RNYers?
Hi all
DH and I went out for v day lunch yesterday and I ate a lot of meat. brisket pork belly and bulgogi at a korean bbq. never been before and DH really loved it- i was happy we could go together. then he had a job interview and I went to target for a coffee and TP and splenda. I'm not planning anything today other than a big gym session since i have not been the last 2 days. I did buy this vibration plate and have been using that so it is fun.
Food for today:
coffee
water
coffee
water
prot pancakes with PB
chicken coleslaw mix
maybe more chicken later
not sure on dinner
Glad you had a nice lunch with DH! Korean restaurants have alot of protein options as long as you skip the rice.
OK, what is a vibration plate?! Sounds kinky! LOL

Good morning. I am working from home today. To the untrained eye that will look much like running a bunch of errands so that I can have the weekend free to myself.
Tonight is blanket giveaway night at the Blackhawks game for the first X,000 fans and DW wants one, so I may be sitting in in an empty arena watching the ice dry for 1 1/2 hours, but at least I will have a blanket to keep me warm
QOTD: We don't go overboard, but I will definitely get Marilyn chocolates and most likely a stuffed bear. I will probably get some things for my sons while I am out if she hasn't already. I won't send anything to my daughter because, as a holiday, I don't think that Valentines is postage worthy. She turns 21 in a few months, so I will send her a bottle of Vueve Cliquot pink label and an admonishment to stay home and drink it in her apartment with her roommates.
Breakfast: Omlette
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: Mahi Mahi burger
Snack: light and fit
Dinner: Meatballs
Have a great day, all.

The fact that there is no logic to how/when our bodies lose weight is one of the many things that makes me crazy!

Good morning! Happy Valentine's/Galentine's Day to everyone!
Accountability - I ate 4 protein GF no sugar cookies. I lost 1.2 pounds. I do not think this means cookies make me lose weight.
QOTD - No, when my nieces and nephews were little I would send then little valentines but it's not really a thing....although, once my grandfather realized I was going to be single for life, he would always send me a valentine - it was very sweet.
Today is my 1 year since surgery - I do like having Valentine's Day as my anniversary because having WLS was the height of self care/self love for me!
Menu today....I packed a lovely breakfast/lunch bag, with a splurge of one of those new, creamy dessert flavored chobani that I was going to put in the work freezer (my fridge is now "definitely" being delivered next Wednesday), along with some non-ever roast deli chicken and a cheese stick and a nice loose tea blend in a ball...and I promptly left that all at home.
I will have to dig through and see what options I have here at the office for breakfast (because I'm just settling in, I don't have my usual drawer of meat sticks and syntrax) and might go to Zoe's Kitchen for lunch -- lamb kofta or baked feta (no pita) could hit the spot. I'm afraid I would have to get falafel though and I haven't tried that yet. They do a baked falafel so other than the carb load that might not be to bad.
Have a fantastic Valentine's Day if you celebrate! If not, have a terrific Thursdday!
