Last summer when I did the same thing I totally face planted on the other side.... so this was an improvement but my shoulder and hip still feel a little off.

I experienced something similar. My sense of balance changed. I'm clumsy anyway, and having to adjust to a different center of gravity took some getting used to. There were times I felt I was staggering around like I'd had a bottle of wine for breakfast.
I still make moves that are too big sometimes. A few weeks ago, I spun around so vigorously that I spun right into my open freezer door and clunked my head pretty good on the ice maker compartment which opens outward. My sons were in the living room; they saw me spin around and whack my head. To their credit, they tried not to laugh too heartily.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Big time with you. I was scaring people everywhere - falling, unbalanced at the gym, etc. I started working core everything and as much as possible. Sometimes even while watching TV. My trainer focuses on it all the time. Now I can actually use the BOSU ball in many ways. 4 months ago I couldn't even walk near one of those. Take a lot of work to rebuild the core to support your body - I suppose you could call it adjusting center of gravity. It will come, but with some focus. Good luck.
