Vitamins
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had success using the new vitamins that are complete with calcium and iron in them.
I am a bit skeptical as to whether or not the claim is true.
I found that I would save about 40 cents a day switching over. What I use now is Celebrate multi with 36mg iron and Celebrate calcium plus which I figured out to be $1.25 a day not including the extra biotin and b12.
Has anyone used them?
Thank you, Jo

You don't want to take something with both calcium and iron together; calcium inhibits iron absorption. You're best to take them separately, with at least an hour in-between.
There's no reason to take special bariatric vitamins like Celebrate; you can hit your recommended vitamin amounts using something like the drugstore generic version of Centrum.
Walgreen's has vitamins BOGO free right now. When you buy one bottle of 365 pills for $12 and get one free, and assuming you take two pills per day, you're looking at a cost of about three cents per day. Calcium citrate is $9 for 200 tablets; if you take 2 per day, that's nine cents per day. Iron pills are about the same price.
There's really no reason to take biotin, it won't stop your post-WLS hair loss.
