Gall Bladder Attack?
Happened first time 2 weeks ago, severe pain in the upper abdomen thought it might be stuck food as I'd eaten on the go pain subsided after about 45 minutes, but was also accompanied by cold sweats and chills.
After the pain had eased felt okay to drive home, took a nap and had soup for dinner.
Yesterday it was way worse, in addition to the pain, cold sweats and chills had a dry mouth, the paid started to ease after about an hour this time so I had a sip of room temperature water as my mouth was so dry, this brought the paid back with a vengeance, as we were having a snow storm yesterday there was no way I'd be able to concentrate and make the drive home, so I had my husband come and get me, felt guilty as he had to drive an hour down to get me and then an hour back. Got home around 4 and severe chills, my teeth were chattering, got into bed with my clothes on and added an extra blanket, slept till 10, got up and had soup and a few crackers around 11 for dinner. Just had an instant breakfast this am as I'm sort of afraid to eat. I've also noticed my urine is almost a dark brown?
Haven't been able to get through to my Doctor but am definitely going to see her this time.

The cold sweats and chills as well as the dark urine don't seem to be gallbladder to me (of course I can only speak from my own gallbladder attack experience). My attacks were more like extreme acid reflux, shortness of breath, nausea, and felt like my muscles were tightening around my shoulders and back. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack, and was misdiagnosed with acid reflux before gallbladder was finally discussed.
I would seek a doctor immediately, as this doesn't sound right.

My gallbladder attacks usually happened shortly after eating a fatty meal. Intense vomiting would make me sleep hard. Unfortunately, I would wake up feeling well enough to ignore the need for medical attention. Eventually, I paid the price by landing in hospital for a week with an infected gallbladder and part of my liver removed to get the gallbladder out. ??Chills and dark urine sound more like a bladder infection?? Please let us know what you find out.
I've got a doctors appointment unfortunately I have to wait 2 weeks, the chills and dark urine can also be symptoms of a gall bladder attack. If it happens again before I see the Doctor could go to the urgent care clinic. My Mom who used to suffer from Gall Bladder attacks before she had hers removed also made a few suggestions for treating.
I've been one of the average ones and have not had complications and only rarely a little discomfort if I ate too much, so facing this now has been a big surprise.

Go to the ER now and do not wait. Could be either a stone caught in the common duct, or an appendix, both of which could kill you.
I have had both, so trust me on this one... and you will feel better if they are ruled out...

Thanks all, actually saw my Dr last night as she was working the walk in Clinic when I went to get my B12 shot, she's going to run a bunch of test so she should have all the results when I go back on the 27th, she also said that if I had another bad attack I should go to the hospital. She's testing for a bunch of stuff the one I was surprised about was a heart attack seemed to be a concern because of my medical history, wouldn't have made that jump myself.
I guess for now it's a wait and see approach and just hope the severe paid doesn't come back both times I'd eaten bacon, egg & some type of bread, but have eaten that on other days too and it didn't cause any issues so don't think it had anything to do with what I ate.
