What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Going ahead for today didn't see a post out there.
So- Saturday I stayed in and relaxed all day. Did laundry, taxes, cleaned kitchen, organized things, and idn't go to the gym. Sunday I went out for errands, vet for meds, starbucks for work, GYM, and got a rotis chicken also. came home walked and fed pups and DH finally got back about 8 from work. after he was all settled and showered we went to bed.
QOTD: what is the biggest challenge in this that you face? Mine is my head and battling with it. When I feel sad or angry or bored i tend to eat and usually it is on the weekends. this means calorie wise i blow my deficit for the week so- no weight loss. Or very minimal. Its a daily struggle.
Food for today:
new protein 'oatmeal' concoction- we will see
coffee
water
coffee
more water
protein pancake
rotis chicken coleslaw mix somehow together.
not sure what else
Morning folks! We didn't get much snow overnight but lots of sleet & freezing rain and still put it down. Work is on a 2-hour delay or unscheduled leave/telework...yippee! So I'm working from home today and even slept in for almost an hour! It was really lovely not to have to go out and chip ice off the car first thing!
We had a busy weekend with my parents coming down for the day on Saturday and we put in a new toilet, did some indoor painting, my stepfather "tried" to fix my broken kitchen drawer, fixed my porch screendoor and did some outdoor cleanup. We also celebrated my Mom's belated birthday and early Valentine's Day with little chocolate cakes that I made. I did taste the cake with 2 bites of cake trimmings. It really is good cake but that was enough for me.
Edited for QOTD: I agree, as we always tell the new folks, surgery is on the stomach, not the head! A lifetime of using food to deal with stress, etc. doesn't change just because your guts are adjusted. I really try hard to use exercise, not food, to deal with stress, boredom & sadness but it doesn't always happen that way. For me, when I fall off the wagon on plan, I try to restart right away and not wait until tomorrow or next week or not at all. I am human and definitely am not a machine all the time but not waiting until I've gone too far afield is always my goal.
Menu:
B: ham, HB eggs
S: turkey breast
L: beef zoodle soup thawing

Exercise: It's icy & icky outside but I'd like to hit the treadmill or do some other exercise in the back room

Glad you get to work from home today and that you got to sleep in a little. I was up at 4:30 with DH before he went to work. We were on a 2-hour delay then so I went back to bed for an hour and a half! Woke up to school closed and DH walking in the door because schools and offices are all closed. Still snowing here.

February 11, 1969... fifty years ago today, I was born. How is it that I am 50 years old? How on earth did that happen? Today will be extra care day for me. Extra naps, extra coffee, extra exercise and a glass of wine and it SNOWED last night and is still snowing this morning! Which means a snow day today! Best. Gift. Ever. It looks like tomorrow is questionable because of this two-day weather event.
