Weight loss surgery is a serious and life changing decision and should not be taken lightly. I had RNY 9 months ago. Have lost 96 lbs since 2017 and want to lose another 30-40. I am off all diabetes meds, including injections, and all high BP meds. I listened to the docs *****commended this procedure and I am absolutely thrilled that I did. I now exercise by swimming 1 mile every other day. Cardiologist is elated as well. Yes, I cannot use anti-inflammatory meds, but that is a small price to pay for all the other benefits. Sure, I miss pizza, cookies, candy, and all the stuff I shouldn't eat, but I can do this. I can do stairs, get out of a sling back canvas chair, walk quickly....the list goes on. My life was taking a bad turn for the worse prior to the surgery. I am very optimistic about the future now. Persevere...

It is funny you post this on the day I return to the forums.

I stopped posting because I had made some friends and still think of them as friends but they al.ost seemed let down that I was doing great and having success.

My only struggle so far is gas. Since my RNY I have rough gas. I have learned to deal with that gladly. Other then that... my quality of life is better, I feel great and look great.

Life with RNY for me so far is great.

Friend,

How long have you had surgery? How is your vitamin supplementation?
