You may hate me for this but do you know the website Unique Vintage? I have totally been wondering if I could pull off the 50s look - between Mrs. Maisel and looking at some 50s era pix of my grandmother, I want that look. Also, if we all took to wearing gloves, we'd all be healthier!

yes! i do like Unique Vintage but they are a bit pricey for me (especially right now when I don't know what size I will end up) but I do get a lot of great pieces on sale on Lindy Bop USA and even Amazon has some super adorable swing dresses and rockabilly style clothes which I absolutely love...I've gotten some really great outfits for $15-$20 and a lot of the pieces can be mix & match...especially the cute little crop cardigans!

We got your snow last night Daisy, but not too much of it. I'm more worried about ice. I even drove to work with no issues, trying to pretend there is no snow, but took it slow anyway.

QOTD- I don't eat until I get to the office around 7, I usually have Greek yogurt for breakfast and then wait 30 minutes and have a coconut milk mocha made with unsweetened Ghiarardelli cocoa and truvia. I miss the sugared version and this is the best I can do, much lower in calories and no sugar.

I'm jealous of all of you who can drink tons of coffee, I've cut back to just the mocha and about 8oz of coffee mid morning. It just seems too acidic to me the negatives of dealing with an ulcer.

Yesterday was a bad pouch day, I had Greek yogurt, 1oz of mozarella cheese and 2 small clementines for lunch and that set off bad nausea and a headache. Not sure if it was really food related, but I ended up having to go home. I miss ibuprofen! Trying not to think about having another EGD in a week. If the ulcer is gone I can quit taking the carafate, yay! But this time not stop taking the omeprazole.

I'm supposed to meet with a contracting company today, but I'm going to cancel. If they don't have an immediate job, there doesn't seem to be a reason to meet. Plus the weather worries me, if it warms up all of this will melt and then refreeze tonight. Hopefully it will evaporate, but I'd rather not drive in it.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

I figured out my coffee limit today -- 3 12 oz coffees; the 4th was a bit of overkill -- but wow am I energized, good think I'm at home, I think my coworkers would not be happy with me. Hope you are feeling better today!

edited for clarity (day is not the same as today)

Good morning,

Yesterday was really hard, I was starving when I got home from support group and I almost had a bingefest but I didn't. I did eat a cheese stick to get my stomach from rolling around which satisfy it. So I was about 40 calories over the 1100 limit. I kept drinking lots of fluids but this was true hunger.

Qotd I eat breakfast everyday but at different times depending when I get up. Today it was 645 am. Usually within an hour of getting up. Sometimes I drink a bunch of water before I eat.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and canned peaches

D crack chicken

Have a good day.

Good for you for staying in control. I have been finding that if I drink a hot liquid, it seems to "fill" more than cold liquids do. That seems weird, lol.

Hello all

i am only 3 weeks out from my surgery. I have always eaten breakfast and am doing so now. I have been a nurse for 40 years and I learned I better eat breakfast as who knows what my day may bring, when I can eat and if I have time to go to the bathroom!

so, for yesterday

B- one soft scrambled egg and 90 minutes later a Premier Protein Chocolate shake

snack - 1/2 of a Atkins bar

Lunch. Oikos triple zero yogurt with 1/4 cup blueberries

snack- one ounce deli turkey. First solid meat since surgery. Was a little. weird feeling + 1/2 Atkins bar

supper - cottage cheese 4 oz + 1/4 cup blueberries

snack - Premier protein shake If I don't get something high protein in before bed, I began waking up at 3:00 or 4:00 am, hungry

62 oz of fluids How do you all get in 120-150 oz of fluids??!!

Once my RD said that I only had to wait the 30 minutes after eating, not both before and after, to drink it helped tremendously. Once I realized that hitting the 100 oz/day helped with the orthostatic blood pressure greyouts, I got very serious about it and it's been very good.

Good morning from NZ,

It is Waitangi Day here (Sort of like the US July 4th) it is Wednesday and I am waiting on my timer to go off so I can have my coffee.

QOTD: Brekky is one of my favourite meals so I will usually have something then wait with anticipation on the coffee. Most days my brekky is a shake just for convenience and timing. My morning snack is usually yogurt (high protein/plain) with berries of some form.

Accountability: biscotti and halo top got me!

It is summer here and it has been warm, so the lure of ice-cream has been hard to resist. It will pass as I only tend to eat it when it is really hot out.

Menu:

B:protein shake

MT: didn't happen

L: moroccan curry (beef/chickpea no rice)

AT: the sugar free mochaccino I so wanted for morning tea.

D: more moroccan curry and that darned ice cream and my homemade, low sugar biscotti

Vitamins: spot on

Water/Liquids: 2.3 litres but probably not enough for the heat

Exercise: moved the sewing room into the sewing room well over 10,000 steps running boxes up and down stairs

Have fun,

mathea
