NO APPETITE
i HAD AN OPEN RNY BACK IN 2005. The last several years I have had a mjor issue with not having and appetite. Lately I have been getting sick because of it. Body fat has been sticking around but muscle mass has been wasting away. What food I get down is just by pure force of will. Generaly after the first bite, I shut down. Any one know a doc in the oklahoma city area that can help?
I'm so sorry you're going through this experience. Have you tried to get a referral from your PCP? You could also call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask for a case manager or similar. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

When was the last time you checked in with your surgeon?
Have you had blood work done recently?

VSG 2013, RNY conversion 2019 due to GERD. Trendweight here!
What type of diet are you eating, and are you getting any exercise? I was having trouble with muscle wasting, tried my way to reverse it for a year, and that wasn't working even with strength training... so needed to listen to other people.... It took time to actually see a reversal in the trend and it was hard work, and went against my bariatric brain.
If you are not hungry you need to schedule eating and do it anyway. It is not optional, and plan. I have to plan, I may end up changing the plan as the day progresses, but really helps me on those days I am hungry/not hungry.
Even if you don't want to go to your surgeon, go to your primary, and get full bariatric bloodwork panel. Make sure you are not deficient in anything.
