A good binge watch can help relax/clear the mind. It's peobably silly but I watch episodes of the great British bake-off to zen my mind. It's so pretty and soothing and I'd never consider making any of the things they make! I just started watching the Amazing Mrs Maisel on amazon prime. It's good! I have yet to find the cord for the TV so I'm not currently watching but soon, lol

Mornin'!
It was -25 when I woke up this morning - it's now -23. This cold is supposed to start moving on outta here this afternoon. By Sunday, we're supposed to hit 40 degrees. Unbelievable! It's going to feel like summer after having this crap for the last couple of days!!
I'm supposed to meet some women for lunch today. I really don't want to go - it's too freaking cold out and I'm trying to avoid eating out because it always seems to throw me off track, but the two people who've been planning it worked forever to get a date that worked for all of us. It's been on the calendar for over a month. At least it's at a Japanese place - I should be able to get something that "works".
QOTD: My first goal was to weigh 199. At the time, after being over 300 for 15 years, I would have been elated with that. Once I got to around 210, though, I revised my goal to 170-180. The dietitian said that should be do-able as long as I worked really hard at it. When I got down to 170, I told her I wanted to try for 150 (which is a normal BMI for me). She told me although they've had a handful of patients do that, it would be unusual for me to get that low, and not terribly realistic. But - I did it. I eventually got down to 138 before my weight loss stopped, and then it gradually drifted back up to 150. In some ways I miss being in the 130s, but I think it was too low for me, and 150 was my ultimate goal, so... Low- to mid-140s would be nice, though! I think i looked fine at that weight and would prefer being a little lighter than I am now. But it's a huge struggle to lose even a couple of pounds now.

Have you tried the real good jalapeño bites? I had them not long ago and I thought they were really good. They also let me see that my brain still needs work - a serving is 3 and that's a meal. They were very filling and I wasn't hungry after but my brain equates them with snacks and wanted more!! I didn't make more but I am feeling like these will be a very limited purchase for me. I do think they might be awesome in an air fryer vs the oven.

G'morning Karen & Menu peeps!
If we are talking about temps mine are around 51 right now with a high of 60 today. Sorry guys!
QOTD1: The Dr recommended 150 for me after asking me how much I weighed as an adult before gaining weight (140). It also puts me at a 25 BMI. That's why I want to maintain under 150 with the ultimate goal to see 140 at least for one day.
QOTD2: I was under a NUT supervision with various diets for about a couple of years. When our last attempt failed (meaning I lost 30 lbs but gained it all back and some as soon as I got discouraged with the slow process) she recommended WLS. At first I was offended but once I attended a seminar I was all in. The whole thing was about 4-5 months.
B: protein coffee
L: turkey meatballs
S: yogurt
D: oven baked chicken parmigiana
Happy Friday-eve!
