What is on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Ugh, I am sooo depressed about the gym closing. It's right up the road (like a 6 or 7 minute drive) and it's a women's only, classes only gym. I love the people and it's been my routine for the past 8 months after months where I didn't work out. The other gym choices are about an 18 minute or 22 minute drive (in normal traffic, not rush hour) so going to a class would mean devoting a full two hours (between the drive there and back, locking up my stuff in the locker room, etc.). Obviously I just need to suck it up and find a new gym but I'm pretty down about it.
I don't remember exactly where you are, but my trainer, who lives and has a small gym in Bowie, does cyber sessions if that would be of interest to you. If you have interest, let me know. He's always happy to do a free session to see if it works for you.

You can either email him at [email protected], text him at 240-354-7565 or look at his posts in FB at either Gary K Siegel or Cyber Fit or Fitness Matters Gym. His website isn't particularly up to date but he posts comments, stories and pictures on FB almost every day. He always does a free trial session so you can see if it works for you. I've been working with him since July and really enjoy his in gym sessions, cyber sessions and most of his classes. He has clients who have had WLS and while his "target" audience is middle aged to boomers, he has clients who are aspiring HS jocks to seniors in their 80s. He is 62, a certified trainer who has been doing personal training for many years.
Sorry for gushing, but Gary has really made a personal difference for me, and if he is what you are looking for, I hope you really find success with him.
Feel free to let him know that you got his info from Janet on Obesity Help!

Calculations have become a huge topic of conversation in my school system. Every student has access to a phone with instant information and a calculator. The concepts still have to be taught but sometimes I don't know if it is a good thing for students to suffer through without using tools to make it easier since they will use these tools in their future. As a math teacher - I feel for you and your son.

G'morning my freezing friends!
Boy oh boy Daisy, big hugs...that's all I can say. I wish you quiet and darkness (that's what helps me).
I also feel for all of you in the freezing temps. Looking at the map yesterday, CA was the only place that was green, the rest of the country had some sort of color for the low temps. Stay warm everybody.
QOTD: I loved languages, even Latin that I had to study for 3 years in middle school. History, geography, anything to do with real world, in my head. Hated anything math related. Kinda put up with science. In short yes to humanities subjects no to science.

Good morning,
My worked called early this morning but I didn't answer it since I keep my phone out in the living room. By the time I called them back, they didn't need me till this afternoon.
Its a deep freeze today, I'm freezing even though my thermostat says it's 74 in here. The wind chills are -25 . In some places in Michigan it's-40. Our major school that never closes, has closed for the rest of the week. My doctors and my counseling center closed today. Least I didn't have to get out this morning for my counseling session.
Accountability for my vegetable last night, I had two servings of sweet potato puffs. Otherwise on plan.
Qotd loved science classes, band and choir. Hated history and government class.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and unsweetened applesauce
D cheeseburger no bun and sweet potato puffs
Have a good day
