Hey friends, how are you all? I am crappy, I was off work yesterday with a nasty migraine and it has not let up yet!

Accountability: I found myself in a bag of pretzels last night. I have to remember that when I am not feeling well its not an excuse to snack and go off plan

QOTD: What subject in school did you love and what did you hate? I loved law class (I always wanted to be a Lawyer growing up) and I despised/loathed/hated math. To this day I break out into a cold sweat at the mere thought of having do to math! I envy you "mathy" people where math comes so easy to you!

It makes me smile when I log on and see you've started us out,Daisy! Sorry you are still struggling with the migraines,my friend. I am hating our weather and my inability to walk with Lily. Today it is -10 and with 40 to 45 mph winds. And we are in our camper. So far between the furnace and 2 space heaters it's staying about 70 but you can definetely feel the wind. It's supposed to start to get a bit better windwise this afternoon. If needbe we can stay in the duplex with our son but we're all more comfortable here--it feels like our second home. Anyway its been miserable since Monday where its unsafe to walk very far and according to my scale my weight is up almost 4 pounds despite eating less food than normal and nothing at snacktime with the volunteers. Fluids were down yesterday--86 ounces so goal today is 120. Foodwise I was spot on. Since there is nothing I can do about it, I'll write the number down and move on making smart choices anyway--126.8. No exercise today butI'll get at least as many steps in as I can at work. Heres the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and almond butter L 2 slices turkey 1 slice cheese D 4 oz chicken with peppers and onions S meat snack stick. QOTD I love biology and english--especially literature and hated math with a passion. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!

You are more than a number on a scale. Look at all you do and how you volunteer your service! I know you feel more comfortable at a lower weight but you are off schedule not being able to walk. I think you are doing just great!

I am sorry you are missing your walks, I know they are important to you and Lily too. Be proud of yourself for sticking to it even when the scale is not cooperating.

Hi All!

Daisy sorry you are still suffering from a migraine. Hope today find you better as the day continues.

Accountability: popcorn

QOTD: In high school, I had the worst experience with geometry. The teacher was horrible and several times I had to prove my grade because he couldn't average grades correctly and it almost caused me to be kicked off the softball team. It was just a really bad class. Otherwise, I loved school and probably why I became a teacher.

School was delayed yesterday because of the weather but there was no weather until after school and then the 'snow' we were supposed to get never went south into the part of the county where I live... weird. Today we are preparing for the 'artic' blast.

As I was typing this I got the call that schools are closed today.... gggrrrrr

TSS: 1 year and 1-month weight 159.5

B: overnight oats - I only ate half because I couldn't choke them down this morning for some reason. I may be having a small pouch day and I am okay with that.

Off to the gym now since my plans are up in the air! Have a great day :)

I have a funny Geometry story....I was dozing off in class and my teacher called on me...I quickly answered Contrapositive and then quickly said No, Contraceptive.....the class went crazy, teacher even laughed and fell back into the board...he said.."I guess we know what Duff has on his mind today".....

LOL - that is funny. My geometry teacher told us about his wife giving birth and how she said it felt like a 20-pound bowel movement. That is what I learned in geometry. He was awful and I was in a private school at the time.

I had a terrible geometry teacher in high school too. She was just terrible. Every single student in class flunked the midterm and the teacher was furious at us. Seriously, if everyone flunked it might be the teacher that is the problem.

Booooo! I'm so sorry to hear you're back in migraine-city, Daisy.

Accountability: there may have been a Thin Mint last night and freezer with multiple boxes of Girl Scout cookies... I did adjust the rest of my evening's plan to account for the Thin Mint, but you know. My beloved niece if a scout for the first time this year and selling cookies. I should have probably just donated to the troop, but I bought several boxes and put them in the freezer. Fingers crossed I can keep it together and only eat them as planned. If not, they'll be going to the food bank or into work!

QOTD: I loved, loved, loved language arts. I loved writing essays and short stories and reading for school. I am also not a mathy person. I will admit that I use math a lot more in my job than I ever thought I would but between a Excel, a calculator, and the internet reminding me of formulas, I don't actually NEED what I learned all that much LOL.

TSS: 4 years, 11 months

B: coffee with half and half, egg cups

S: Siggi's yogurt

L: rotisserie chicken with BBQ sauce and a string cheese

S: turkey sticks

D: leftover taco bowl

S: 2 lemon Girl Scout cookies and ricotta cheese

E: resting today

Hope all you mid-Westerners are staying warm! It's cold here, but nothing like you're facing!
