Mornin' Weekenders!

Evidently it's supposed to warm up enough today to dump 4-8" of snow on us, then the temps will plunge back down into the sub-zero category and stay there all week. Cripes. I have an evaluation for another Alzheimer's research study on Thursday morning, when the low is supposed to be something like 25 below zero, and I'm tempted to call them and see if they can reschedule it for next week. I just can't even fathom being out in that unless absolutely necessary...

I'm going to a basketball game this afternoon with a friend, then I think I'll barricade myself in my house for a few days until this deep freeze blows over. I envy people who "winter" in Florida!!!

Anyone have a QOTD? If I think of anything later I'll edit this to add one!

accountability was on-target yesterday. Weight down a pound this morning.

3 years 7 months out:

B: Greek yogurt with sliced kiwi, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: cottage cheese

AS: I'll be at the game - maybe I'll take a protein bar with me

D: turkey chili

ES: light yogurt or baby carrots with 2 T hummus

Good morning. I am supposed to fly to Texas for a few days tomorrow. I hope that we don't get so much snow that I get cancelled. If I can get out I will miss the worst of the cold here. We are taking my youngest out for lunch for his birthday today. It is a burger place and I was planning on getting chili. But then we made a big crock of chili yesterday, so I may have to think of something else to order. Marilyn has been begging my son to buy pants to wear to lunch. It hasn't happened yet.

MY QOTD - Am I jealous?, very jealous? or extremely jealous of Liz at the beach in Florida today? Answer, I am extremely jealous. Retirement sounds better and better.

Breakfast: Bratwurst

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Cheeseburger

Snack: Light and fit

Dinner: Chili

Have a great day weight loss penguins.

Good morning menu friends. It was 17 when Lily and I headed out for our 4 miles and 12 an hour later when we came back. Yuck! I feel like I never thaw out and am constantly cold. I too am extremely jealous of Liz right now. We are retired but with my husbands parents still alive he stays around to clear their snow and stuff. If it were up to me I'd be in Florida for sure. Accountability was spot on yesterday and weight was 124.4 today. Heres the food B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c butterbean soup D 4 oz brat burger S2 oz pork rinds. Lily and I will do another mile sometime this afternoon so I get my 10,000 steps in. Off to make some coffee so have a great day full of healthy choices everyone!

QOTD: Yes I'm very jealous of Liz! Overall I'm not sure I'd like living in Florida because I like the change of seasons, but this stuff is for the birds (well, even the birds hate it - most of them are wintering in FL, too!). I'd love to someday winter somewhere warm. But not only is it an expense, DH won't be able to for a few years because he's a lot younger than I am and has a few more years to work (one big disadvantage of being a cradle robber!). So here we sit...winter and all!

Good morning. I am thankful for our winter in the PNW. We will be in the low 50's today and hopefully some sunshine this afternoon. I am hoping to get out and go for a walk.

protein pancakes with WF syrup, 1 T. butter

1/2 c. cottage cheese with EBB seasoning

5 oz grilled halibut with lemon and capers

not sure on dinner

552 calories, 5 carbs, 80 protein ( without dinner)

vitamins always and lots of water and hot tea. I have been low on my liquids lately.

On your walk don't forget to stop and smell the roses, because mine are freaking blooming! I picked a small bouquet yesterday for my house. In January.

Good morning~ Had a an awesome day yesterday. Our hike turned into a 3 mile walk w/the dogs, house stuff and then Santa Barbara with my sister and her husband, we had a ball! Today is chill so I will be organizing more for the move. I started taking things off the walls yesterday and grouping my chachkis to pack. The house looks so bare! I'm dying to start in the kitchen, but I'm waiting to figure out our move date. We will probably have a yard sale as we have a ton of stuff we don't need or I may just call a charity for a pick up so we don't have that hassel....

QOTD - I am jealous of Liz because she is retired and has the best of both worlds - A home on the Cape and in Florida!

Accountability - we ended up at a Mexican restaurant last night where I enjoyed some yummy carbs and margaritas! Back at it today

2 years 2 mo - 167.1

b- coffee x 3, cheese omelette

l-protein pancake - savory style w/cheese and dipped in mustard (think grilled cheese)

d-chicken tenders and sauteed mushrooms

es-L&F yogurt half frozen

v-l - on track

e- ugh, no

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning! I've been up a few hours with my coffee and a book, and now I'm having a late breakfast...? Brunch I guess? It was freezing rain and sleet when I looked outside last, so I'm content to stay in my pajamas and carry on with this book today. Some of my gardening group friends who live in warmer climates are starting their seeds and I'm getting extremely envious! If it weren't for my cats, I'd probably try to grow herbs and salad greens indoors, but alas, my cats are ********

Qotd: I too, am jealous of Liz ;)

breakfast: coffee with Premier, and now having some egg muffins I froze a while ago. They have turkey sausage, cheese, eggs and jalapeno. Not bad, but I don't think they froze well. I feel like I'm eating a spicy sponge.

Lunch/snack: I might have a small spinach salad with the last bit of leftover chicken breast I have in the fridge later. I'm not sure it's even 2 oz of chicken.

Turkey chili in the crock pot for tonight.
