Daisy - not a bug eater, in any shape or form but curious to know who was the genius behind this idea. Also how do they taste like?

Today I'm meeting with the bariatrician for my 18 months checkup. I really like her and I'm always excited to see her. She is so encouraging. And I love the system at my center where I meet with the actual surgeon only once a year but meet the bariatrician every 6 months. She is the one who orders my labs and discusses my results and lays a plan of action for the next 6 months.

This weekend no big plans. DS has a surf contest on Sat and then he and DH will drive down to Santa Barbara to pick up a special board he custom ordered for his bday. Have I told you guys there is a room in our house full of surf boards? That room was supposed to be the hobby room but somehow I was tricked into allowing one board in and now it has a special rack with boards on. Not to mention every corner in our garage is full of boards. I had to stop them when they were discussing about using a board as decoration in the living room. So we need a new board like a hole in the head.

QOTD: I can't stand people slurping when eating soup or drinking hot drinks. Drives me bananas. I understand the coffee is hot, so just wait till it cools because that slurping is very annoying. So you can imagine in the morning if I'm in a meeting and everybody is drinking coffee I am on the edge of going postal on everybody.

S: might still be on the road so I'll do a starbucks coffee + premier.

The pics are from the trip - I promise it's the last batch. These are from Florence and Lucca. Most of the Florence pics are in Duomo or on the ponte vecchio. The kids were sick and tired of taking pics. In Lucca we rented bikes and explored the city and the wall around it on bike.

gorgeous pics, as always...you really have a fantastic sense for photography, it's not just the subjects- the lighting, angles, composition...just beautiful.

You are so sweet. I just point and click (my phone). DH on the other hand takes an eternity and takes really phenomenal pics. But I don't have his patience.

I would say the subject matter helped a lot, there wasn't a spot that wasn't awe inspiring.
