What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?

Good morning, menu friends! It is frigid here in Illinois and feels like 3 outside right now so Lily and I haven't walked yet. We'll try our mile in a bit and definetely will do our long walk this afternoon when the wind dies down and the temp warms. I have more energy in the am but we just can't do the cold for an hour so it is what it is. Accountability good yesterday both step and foodwise and weight today was 123.8. Edging closer to 120 albeit VERY slowly. QOTD rude people who believe rules don't apply to them and have no compassion for anyone else and there sure are lots of them. That's why I generally like animals better than people. Goal today is 120 ounces liquids probably mostly decaf tea or coffee since I'm freezing. Heres the food B1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and 1 T almond butter L4 oz leftover burger from last night D 3 oz kielbasa 1/4 c sauerkraut S 2 oz pork rinds. Have a great day full of smart choices everyone! Time to start the coffee!

Morning all! Just getting ready to dash. My car died yesterday, the cold killed my battery, so DH had to put in a new one last night, which then deactivated my remote start, so I have to go out and start my car manually like a peasant (jokes on me--I had the remote start installed just last Wednesday and haven't actually used it since! I kept forgetting that it needs line-of-sight and parking behind the shed :P)

No plans for the weekend except to hibernate through this cold snap. I'll go to the gym tonight, and likely tomorrow, but Sunday will be a day of rest. Or resistance bands at home.

Qotd: probably condecension. Do not talk down to me! Yesterday at work I reached out via email to one of my Ireland colleagues to ask a question about a case he sent me and he was SUPER condescending. Yes, I'm new, but I understand the fundamentals. Sheesh.

Breakfast: work serves breakfast on fridays, today was bacon and eggs. I might just grab a yogurt from the cooler though, the eggs are usually the weird hotel (made from powder I think?) variety

coffee of course. I've started buying Premier again to use as creamer, I've only barely been getting 60g, and I've been stalled FOREVER, so I'm going to up the protein.

lunch: dill salmon was on the menu, yum.

dinner: 4 oz chicken breast, maybe a small salad

pics are of my new hair!

AHHH I LOVE your hair!!! I'm so jealous, my job will not allow any "unnatural" hair colors. I did get some of that colored hair wax/gel stuff which washes out but it leaves a super sticky/stiff texture in my hair and rubs off on clothes so it's just not practical.
you look adorable!

I'm so glad that I've found myself in a progressive work environment that is totally cool with fun hair colors! I kind of "got away" with the purple at my last job for a while but did get a talking to eventually about the dress code so went to blonde.

I haven't totally cut out whey but have cut back on dairy and cheese a lot and don't have dairy at night, seems to help with the acid reflux. I buy an egg protein powder for nighttime called Totally Egg and after my morning Fairlife use cashew milk the rest of the day. I tried buying a coconut protein powder- it tasted like dirt with a hint of coconut.

Grandkids arrive Monday... Woop! Let the fun begin. My heart hurts just thinking about it. Need to get ready for their arrival.

QOTD: with you on spitting. I don't even know why that is necessary except at the dentist office. At the gym when I cannot find something because people don't put things back after they use them.

B: Fairlife latte overnight oats and protein, blueberries

L: chickpea pasta with meat sauce

D: homemade General Tso's chicken W/veggies

S: protein, yogurt
