What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Good morning everybody. My Freshman just walked out the door in shorts. We have a thermometer mounted on our back porch and its not super accurate but it says 12 below zero. I get that its only a walk from the house to the car and then from the drop off to school, but I would have gone with long pants. I know that we have a few teachers - is this only my son? or do kids just do this now
I have to go to the jeweler this weekend and get my watch band taken in. My watch keeps flopping around so that the face is on the bottom of my wrist instead of where I can see it. Other than that a couple of trips to the gym and attempting to stay warm.
QOTD: It drives me crazy when one person slows down to let someone pull out across a road and then the person in back of them passes the car that slowed down and accelerates around in front of the person trying to pull out, Some one is going to get killed doing that.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar

It is definitely not just your son! There is something about teenaged boys that apparently makes them immune to the weather. I constantly have middle school and high school boys in the library dressed insanely inappropriately for the weather!

My son, who is a jr in HS didn't own long pants until he was in high school. Admitted, we live in CA so we rarely go below 30s but certain mornings it's freezing cold, for us. Not even when we went skiing, so in the snow, he would wear a jacket. He would begrudgingly wear the ski pants with nothing under them. All changed when he started getting interested in girls. All of a sudden he is taking care of his clothes and dresses like a normal human being!

Good morning Daisy and Menu world! D, have you actually eaten the bug protein chips? How are they?!
I'm hoping for a relatively quiet weekend, though we have a surprise 40th birthday party/engagement party to attend tomorrow evening. A friend of DH was gifted a trip to Finland for Christmas by her boyfriend and then while they were in Finland he proposed. Seriously?! How many surprises can this man plan in the course of two months and can he talk to my DH about this?
QOTD: I feel like I have a thousand pet peeves and little annoyances but can never think of them at a moment like this... how about... people who back into parking space in a busy parking lot - ugh.
My PH is from earlier this week when two of our state reps came to visit the library and get a tour of the new space. I particularly liked my look this day!

To my delight Aqua Zumba actually happened last night! Yippee! There used to be a 7:30am Saturday class, but it's gone and makes me so sad - I have to figure out something else to do tomorrow instead. With that in mind, what are your favorite workout jams right now? I desperately need to update my playlist!
