Good morning all, it is raining cats and dogs here, but it's warmed up - so I'll take it! I'm with you, Daisy, can't wait for the weekend a bit of down time!
Guys! We have a mural going up at the library right now and I am completely OB-SESSED WITH IT! The artist is so good and so amazingly fast. We had a donor "name" our new storytime room and instead of naming it after themselves, they wanted it called The Peter Rabbit Storytime Room, so the artist is doing a Beatrix Potter inspired mural. This is on a big folding door that closes off the room for programs, but allows for a big opening when the room isn't being used and therefore can be used as a play space or whatever. This pic is after TWO days of work!
QOTD: I'm an introvert masquerading as an extrovert. Often when I tell people I'm an introvert, they don't believe me, especially in a work context. My job requires me to be the "public face," do lots of public speaking, shake a lot of hands, etc - but I really need my down time at home alone to recharge after all that is done. You'll find me knitting and not talking to my husband LOL

B: coffee with half and half, egg cups
S: Siggi's vanilla
L: egg salad with whole wheat crackers and string cheese
S: srircha pumpkin seeds
D: well, it was supposed to be a new pork recipe in the crockpot, but I didn't read the recipe carefully enough and realized too late this morning that I needed to brown the meat, etc, so I didn't get it in before heading out the door. Will be stopping for a rotisserie chicken this afternoon!
S: PB pretzel treat
E: Aqua Zumba night, hoping it's actually happening this time!
Stay warm and dry out there, friends!

Wow, it looks great! What a great idea!
I love knitting too, I put my audible on and knit. My husband always asks, is this how our retirement going to be? You not talking to me and knitting? In my head I answer yes! ;-)

Haha, #twins. Luckily my husband needs just as much quiet time with no talking as me, so he doesn't seem to mind.
But now the important question - what are you knitting lately?! I'm working on multiple projects, always. I was trying to focus on just a pair of socks for my dad, but then my friend with the foster baby asked me to knit him a blanket - so I kinda dropped all my other projects for that!

Sept-March I'm knitting only HP sweaters, you know the sweater Mrs Weasley made for Harry & Ron for xmas? A couple of yes ago my daughter asked for one with her initial. She liked it so much that she told me I should put it on Etsy. Well, the orders have never stopped. I can't wait to finish this last batch of orders so then I can start with "my" projects. I also crochet, so after knitting all these sweaters I look forward to changing it up and crocheting.
The group of 5 was for a family of 5. They promised me they would send a picture when they are all together. The C one, just finished it and will mail it today. Started working on another one...have 5 more that need to fIrish by March.

Wow! They are so fun!
I briefly had an Etsy shop after being told similar, but I hated it! I don't mind knitting with a deadline, but only for people I know it turns out. It took the enjoyment out of it for me. I'm still always happy to knit for friends and friends of friends when they ask, but I don't think I'll ever try to sell my stuff again.

I know the feeling. The pressure takes the enjoyment out. But I learned to be firm with my deadlines. It makes me laugh when they email me with an order of 4 sweaters in Nov and want it for xmas. I keep telling them more than happy to make them but can't do in that short amount of time because these are truly hand made. Some ppl don't understand and walk away, some people understand and wait. I love it though when I get the review that they loved the sweater and one even said didn't wanna take it off she was so happy with it.
But I look forward to March when I can make what I want. Getting tired of sweaters.

Scarf that has a hood? Send me a pic. As long as you don't want it right away, sure I can make it.
