Surgery!

I had my RNY done this morning! No pain pump here, but was given morphine... It knocked me out lol

Congrats! Now to sip/walk/rest!

Oh yeahhh. I'm definitely resting, half the time I don't even know I'm asleep lol. I've only walked to my room so far. I get to walk more after my esophagram in the morning. They're removing the catheter then also.

Yeah... the getting up part is rough. I'll be glad when this pain is gone. It's right in the center of my stomach. I'm able to get in water & peach tea crystal light quite fine (1 oz medicine cups). I was told that later on I'll get to try a protein shake.

So here's what I was brought for my full liquids:

Boost glucose control - rich chocolate

Sugar free lemon gelatin

Chicken broth (soooooo salty!)

& I'm still sipping on water & crystal light.

I've barely touched any of it. It seemed like I could feel the gelatin sliding through my intestines lol.

I'm home now. It was odd trying to find a good position to lay in. So far I'm kind of on my side.... I feel good though. Earlier, when my drain was removed had me feeling off. What an experience. Oh & aunt Flo had to show up too. Ugh!
