What's on your Saturday menu, RNYers?
QOTD (thanks AmyLiz!!): I've always eaten yogurt, but not like I do now!!! I have it almost every morning for breakfast, and I often have it as an afternoon and/or evening snack as well. Also, I eat processed foods now, which I almost never did before surgery. By processed I mean frozen items, FF/SF pudding (which I sometimes mix into yogurt and protein shakes), hot chocolate (FF/SF), protein bars, protein shakes, etc
Good morning, everybody. It's a snowy Saturday here in Chicagoland. They said that we were supposed to get between 4 to 8 inches today but it looks like more. I didn't get my weekly newspaper delivered today, so I am reading it on my tablet and drinking Nespresso. Hopefully we can make it out for coffee shortly. Marilyn is out snowblowing as she usually does.
That is actually not as a result of any great sloth on my part but a legacy from us having two boys within two years. Our first born was a girl and when she was young I continued to do the yard work as before we had children. But the boys changed that. As soon as I got home Marilyn would hand both boys off to me and flee outside to do any yard work that needed to be done. Any offers to do the yard work were rebuked.
In any case, she still snowplows to this day.
QOTD: First, I eat at home way more than before surgery. Going out doesn't seem worth the time, effort, money, calories, etc. Second, I eat more frozen foods then I ever thought I would. Turkey meatballs, turkey sausages, Mahi-Mahi Mahi-Mahi burgers, SF popsicles, Frozen vegetables.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Bratwurst
Snack: Light and fit
Dinner: Hamburger
Exercise: Row 5000 and a long soak in the hot tub if we can get out
Have a great weekend all!

Greetings from the beach in Florida. It is windy but warm with another cool down coming tonight.
QOTD: The volume of cottage cheese and how many ways I include it surprises me. I always liked it but not this much. And fish! I was never much of a fan previously but now I love it!

Good afternoons RNY'ers!! I started the day with my training run. Weather will likely be bad tomorrow so got it out of the way today. Went to the bakery and ordered a cake for a friend/coworker promotion, they gave me a discount cause I'm with the Fire Department...perks :-) hit the Greece's story and and am done for the day. I do need to make a return at Target and get some command hooks. If I can get there before the snow starts fine-- if not fine too.
My 1/2 marathon is in a month and I have NO IDEA what I want to wear. I dont want to wear a character costume (it's in Disney World), but I do want some thing special or unique to me in some fashion. Ideas??
Qotd: food I eat now that I never thought I would: yogurt. The smell of it used to make me gag. I still need to put my berries in in to make it more palatable, but that alone is progress.
219 today (ugh- but I susupec****er retention), 3.8 years out
m1: never got around to it- had a jelly donut @ the bakery
m2: left over grilled chicken salad from last night
m3: pulled chicken
m4:?? I wanna focus in hydration today so maybe just drinking lots of water

If not the disney theme or the tu-tu route, I think I would have something special made - like a tank top, pageant sash or a head band/hat w/a special/favorite word or saying that describes you perfectly of course in your favorite colors? I'm not a runner so I don't know much but I would make it special - It s a HUGE deal what your doing! I think its its great.

Do you wear a cap when you run? Can you get one screen printed with a photo or quote that you love? I am not a runner...but if I did one at disney, I would totally have to figure out how to run in Princess Leia hairbuns.
