What's on your Saturday menu, RNYers?
Mornin' Weekenders!
I've been googling icebreaker questions on the internet for to last ten minutes for QOTD ideas, but nothing's jumping out at me. Anyone have one?
We got dumped on last night, and there's an Arctic air mass moving in this weekend. Winter has finally hit Wisconsin. UGH!! At least it's Saturday and we have nowhere to go!! It's just as well - I've been putting off a couple of projects - I have no excuse not to work on them this weekend!
3 years 7 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with pomegranate seeds, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: homemade cottage cheese
AS: choice of hummus with baby carrots, light yogurt, or protein pumpkin pie
D: steelhead trout, some kind of vegetable
ES: same choices as AS
ex: shoveling!!
Good morning menu friends! We had rain overnight that was expected to turn to snow but so far no snow. We do have very gusty conditions thoughso I wouldn't be too surprised since the temp is actually going down to see flakes too. It was 33 when Lily and I went out to walk and 31 when we headed back. With the wind too it was miserable but we managed to get it done. We'll do another mile before dinner too. Accountability yesterday was spot on and weight today is 125. I think I'm going to have to look at cutting calories more because my weight seems stuck here. Heres todays food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and 1 T cashew butter L tuna pack with pickle relish D 4 oz baked chickenthigh 1/4 c green beans S meat stick or sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day all and make some smart and conscious choices! Coffee time!
Good Morning!
I am so thankful the storm is going north of us. It's going to be mostly rain. Don't get me wrong, I like snow but I also don't like making up days off from school and it looks like my northern friends are going to be dumped on!
I'm still fighting the effects of this cold so I will rest a lot this weekend. I have house chores to do but I see a lot of binge watching. Since the QOTD about what shows we watch I have lots of ideas for this weekend.
TSS: 1 year and almost 1 month
B: scrambled egg
L: ?
D: ?
Not a great plan but lots of water, crystal light and all vitamins.
Have a great one and stay safe if you are in the path of this storm!

Good morning everyone! Hello 3 day weekend! We are going to go through the house and start purging and donating like a boss. I do not want to move anything we don't want or need so no time like the present. I am not having good luck finding anyplace to move that will take all our pets.... I have a call into one place that do accept pets, but not sure if 4 is ok but they said they were willing to talk so I'm just waiting to hear from them. Its a nice place that would work perfectly until we are able to buy.
QOTD - what food do you eat now that surprise you? I eat a lot of what I as a kid considered ''old people food" I eat a ton of yogurt, tuna, eggs and jello! I worked in Nursing homes in my teens and early 20's and never though I would ever have these foods at the center and on the daily of my diet.
Accountability - great

l-eggs w/cheese and salsa
d-turkey burgers and small salad - 'burger salad;
es- l&f greek yogurt

Have a great day!!

QOTD: probably similar to yours! I never loved yogurt but now it's a regular bedtime "treat". And tuna salad. I think because I have no great love of mayo, but after coming here, I make it with cottage cheese (or mashed avocado if I don't mind the calories that day) and a HB egg mashed in.

Good morning all! Yesterday was a bizarre day, as my office closed due to weather and I worked from home...while we got our windows replaced. Basically, we were freezing our @$$es off until they got them in and sealed. But the windows really are beautiful and will be so much more efficient. Our old ones were so janky that we couldn't even completely close some of them and had towels shoved in to block the air. Since we hope to sell and move in the next year or so, figured we may as well fix the problem now since we had the money. I've attached before/after pics. It's amazing how much more light comes in with just a few less beams. They will have to return to finish the trim and wrapping, the roads were getting slick, so we were fine with them leaving for the day once the windows were sealed. They're coming back on Monday to finish.
I had a hair appointment this morning to get a fun color (blue), but I rescheduled because the roads are still slick. So today it looks like I'm drinking tea and reading.
Breakfast: coffee first, then scrambled eggs and ham
lunch: probably a tuna packet on spinach
dinner: pesto chicken
i did terrible with water yesterday, so I'm going to try for 100 oz today
