Good Morning and Happy Pre-Friday Menu Buddies!

It is supposed to snow here again today, and then once more on Saturday :/ I think we're estimated to get another 4 to 5 inches by next week. I need to move to warmer weather lol

QOTD:

1) I've never really been big on cereal. I did like the Reese cereal, but sense I was always "on a diet" I didn't eat it that much

2) Oh this I should think about more...zip lining is a good one. I also would love to start hiking. Aerial classes are good, also just getting into yoga or zumba sounds fun. I don't really know lol I really should think about this more. I am open to suggestions lol

Accountability: I'm going to say 50% for yesterday. I did stay close to my calorie range (I ended the day with 1060/89/75) and I didn't binge. However, I did eat a large chocolate chip cookie at work last night. So I could do better

A small apple is a great alternative to grapes, add a little peanut butter if you can afford the calories. The high pectin and fiber makes them very filling. If I just need something sweet at the end of the day, SF jello cups w/reddiwhip work as well as using cashew milk as a base for making hot chocolate or turmeric/golden milk. I find a hot drink in winter very satisfying and cashew milk is only 25 calories s cup and has more substance to it than almond milk.

that's a good idea. I've been buying SF/FF Nestle's hot cocoa mix which is probably about the same calorie-wise (25 calories/serving), but making it myself would be a lot cheaper. I'm guessing you do unsweetened cashew milk with some artificial sweetener and unsweetened cocoa powder??

Almonds are a go-to for me, though I have to do the 100 calorie packs because given the chance to eat a whole can, I would.

String cheese, cottage cheese, deli meat, apple slices with Laughing Cow Light (the packaging is a bit wasteful, but sometimes I would buy this little bags of pre-sliced apples that are meant to go in kids' lunch boxes, they're nice because it isn't a full apple)

I make homemade beef jerky which is much lower in sodium and the other option is quality meat sticks. I eat Ostrim meat sticks. I haven't made beef jerky in a while but want to make it again soon.
