What/s on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good Morning lovely OH'ers,
Having a green thumb is awesome Daisy! I have an average ability to grow plants (which I LOVE along with anything outdoors) but my DH is just like you. He even went to the store the other day, bought this cactus fruit thing to eat, didn't get around to eating it, and now it's growing roots like an avocado! Speaking of avocados, he has 3 plants, in Ohio, that he's keep alive for years. I envy you guys so much lol
Also, yes Orchids. So beautiful, maybe I'll try for one this summer.
QOTD: I am very good with money. I can budget like a boss and anytime we need a large sum of money for something, I can pretty easily find out how we're going to get it.

Mornin'!
I may go to a class this afternoon that I skipped last week because it was too cold out (excuses, excuses). It's a non-credit thing for seniors on Delta blues (I prefer Chicago-style blues, but the Delta version is good, too!). Also, yoga - several good yoga options today! Other than that...???
I don't have a green thumb at all, which is just as well since the cats would eat any plant we brought in here. And like Haley, I'm really good with money, which is why I was able to retire early (although having a younger spouse helps, too - he has a few more years left in the workforce before he can retire!). Can't really think of my own QOTD answer - my brain is foggy due to lack of sleep. COFFEE!!!
3 years 7 months out:
B: Earnest Eats oatmeal with a little Greek yogurt mixed in, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: homemade cottage cheese
AS: choice of: light yogurt, protein pumpkin pie, or baby carrots with 2 T hummus
D: turkey chili
ES: if needed, same choices as AS
ex: yoga (may also go to the gym and hop on a recumbent bike - feeling a bit sluggish this morning)
Three sleeps to the weekend...man, I'm counting that down this week. Tomorrow is going to be a killer day at work, but there's a "big" snow storm predicted for Thursday into Friday and I'm hoping my evening meeting gets cancelled because of it. We'll see - otherwise it's 7am to 9pm or after at work for me - boo!
Guys! Snuggling that baby yesterday was amazing. I mostly sat on the couch and knitting while he slept on me, which wasn't good for my step count, but awesome for my soul.
QOTD: Whenever I have to do ice breakers at work, I always say I'm left handed. This might not seem all that interesting, but it is really part of my identity - fitting for that single pair of green handled lefty scissors in elementary school, getting to the lecture hall 5 minutes early to snag one of the lefty chairs, the struggle is real people!
4 years, 10 months post-RNY
B: egg cup, coffee with half and half
S: Siggi's and some more coffee with half and half
L: curried chicken salad and a string cheese
S: small apple + almonds
D: mini meatloaf left overs with some veggies
S: PB pretzels, counted out meticulously
E: Zumba, I actually don't really like regular Zumba, but I like classes much more than working out on my own (I mean, technically I would be with my sister, but not with a trainer/instructor), and this is what fits tonight's schedule, so - Zumba it is.
Also, I have a black, black, black thumb. I kill everything. I over water, I under water, I let it get too much light, not enough light. I just do not know what to do with plants.

My niece is a lefty and last year Oreos did some funny promotion where they switched the opening to be left handed friendly and I sent them to her thinking I was being funny. She was so happy, I never realized all the challenges you lefties face!

Good morning, everybody. I almost put white vinegar instead of distilled water in by CPAP filter last night. It was clear liquid in a clear plastic container that said "distilled". Only when I started upstairs with it did I realize that it said "Distilled White Vinegar". That would have been miserable.
Ever since Cara cast the gout out my knees I've been on a bit of a roll with being able to go to the gym. I've now swam five times and lifted three times without mu*****ident.
QOTD: My daughter is an intern at the same firm that I work for . She works in a different department and in a different part of the country so I don't see her at work, but every now and then I will go to look myself up on some computerized system and see her name right below mine. It still shocks me to see that.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs with cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Fish
Snack: Light and Fit
Dinner: Board meeting at a restaurant but protein forward
Have a great day all.

G'morning menu peeps!
Daisy - I'm your opposite extreme. Give me a healthy thriving plant and I milk it in a span of 2-3 days. I have given up on plants. We can't cohabit and I don't want the guilt any more.
QOTD: I am a super organizer. You know that show Marie Kondo? My grandma was the original Marie Kondo and I learned from her how to organize pantries and closets. I love everything organized.
I also speak 4 languages fluently. Language is power. I love it when I hear somebody talking (especially if they are not nice) and they think nobody would know what they are saying and I clap back!
B: coffee protein
L: chicken veggie soup (homemade)
S: parm cheese
D: turkey chili
Have a great hump day.
