Free weights intimidate me because I feel so uncoordinated with them - like I'm just inches away from braining myself with them!

It sounds like your company is going through some big changes, do you know when you will hear on the management role? Waiting through a change and for the next opportunity can feel so long!

Mornin' All!
I felt super unproductive yesterday. Today the only things on the agenda for now are a Zumba class at 10:30 and a massage this afternoon - but at least I'm getting out of the house for a couple of hours. I'll likely add a couple of other things, though (maybe cleaning out a couple of shelves in the pantry?) - I really don't like having more than a day or so when I'm just lying around - I start going stir-crazy - and feeling guilty!
Accountability has been great for at least a week now - glad to be back on track after the holidays!
QOTD: well, since I'm retired, no. But yes - I've definitely had supervisors in the past who kept agreeing to take on more and more projects without dropping old things, thinking the staff could handle the extra work, evidently. Ugh.

ex: 45 minutes of Zumba
Ya! Daze, I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling some relief! I'm intrigued by acupuncture, but have never tried it...
Guys! Today I took off work to babysit my friend's foster son and he is so darn cute! My friend started fostering two sisters about a year ago, ages 2 and 3, and she's now in the process of adopting them. Well, a new brother arrived on Christmas Eve and he was placed with my friend at 4 days old. She's working 2 days a week and her mom has been with them, but needed a break. I have a bunch of banked vacation time, so...here I am.
I did pack my meals and snacks to bring along. Friend is actually also an RNYer, but wasn't sure what she'd have around.
QOTD: I am the boss and I try hard to keep my staff's capacity in mind, though that isn't always easy. I do have a board that can be fairly....demanding.
4 years, 10 months post-RNY

That is so nice of you to help out this way. And so very kind of your friend for foster to adopt those kids. My heart would melt and I would volunteer to help out too if we were close.
