What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
There's an Italian butcher/deli near my house that puts their Boars Head meats on sale for $6.49 to $7.99 depending on which meat you're buying. I buy any of the American Heart Association approved meats but usually stick to the chicken and turkey. Been eating them for years and love them but damn expensive! It sucks that you have to pay so much for quality.

yes....but the one day I was at the wrong store and they didn't have the right chicken...and I was too annoyed to go to the other store...and it wasn't as good. I guess we're saving money on the QUANTITY these days, might as well go for the quality (at least this is what I"m trying to tell myself).

G'morning menu peeps!
Daisy - sorry the migrane is lasting so long. I don't know if I mentioned this before but once my migrane lasted three weeks at which point my dr gave me an epidural in my head!!!! It worked!
Well folks, I survived the 15K. Barely, but survived it. At the end my hip was hurting. I'm not used at running on pavement, all of my training had been on tremila in the forest nearby. My NSV was that although the run was for hot chocolate snd during the run they were giving out chocolate, marshmallow and Ms I didn't eat them. At the end the mug fit of chocolate goodies was cute for a pic op but that's it...didn't touch it. It was a huge victory for me, a declared chocoholic. Pics below.
QOTD: my program is a lot like Jim's. Separate bariatrician than surgeon that follows me and orders my bloodwork. In fact I'm meeting with her the end of Jan. I was told the first two years bloodwork is done every 6 months, after that every year.
B: eggwich (my new obsession)
L: turkey meatballs
S: parm cheese
D: turkey chili (the recipe was given to me by my nutritionist. It has only one can of beans, but 1.5 lb of turkey and TONS of vegetable. It's very yum).
Have a great Mon, everybody.

15K is awesome Sheila. But if you didn't spill that gooey chocolate out the side compartment of the big mug and onto your clothes then I am truly amazed. Not only would i have a primary spill but I would have secondary messes from when my arms contacted the main spill and spread it around my body.

Good Morning! Daisy, so sorry you missed the party due to the migraine. I hope that you are feeling a bit better today.
QOTD: I get a full panel annually and then track iron as needed. I am also glad that we remind one another to be diligent with watching our numbers. I needed an infusion last year.
