Good morning, everybody. Daisy, I'm sorry to hear that you are still suffering. This is semester finals week for my two sons so our house is surprisingly studious this week. Kind of feels like I am back in college. (minus the parties)
QOTD: I had bloodwork at my three month appointment and before surgery. The way my program is set up I have a Baritirician who is different from my Surgeon and my PCP. She was the one responsible for my pre-surgery evaluation, wrote the recommendation for surgery, and monitors my post-surgery progress. The baritician sees me each 3 months for the first year. My endocrinologist also orders WLS bloodwork because she is a great doctor.
Bariatrics is also in a separate building from the main hospital with its own parking lot which is nice.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: Work lunch probably chicken
Snack: Light and fit
Dinner: what family is having or left over pot roast
Have a great day, all!

Mornin'!
We didn't do too much this weekend, but this week looks pretty packed. Good. I'd rather be too busy than not busy enough! I'm calling my plastic surgeon's office today to try to get phase 2 rescheduled (was supposed to have it in early December, but he injured his wrist the day before). Hopefully he's healed enough to operate, but since I'm thinking maybe April (if he still has slots available then), I'm guessing he'll be good to go...
QOTD: I have the full panel done once a year when I see my WLS surgeon for my annual check-up. Then if any of the numbers are trending in the wrong direction (but not scary), my PCP re-checks them when I see her for my regular annual exam six months later (if the numbers were scary, then of course we'd act on them way before six months!)
3 years 7 months out:
B: Earnest Eats protein oatmeal with a little vanilla yogurt mixed it (oatmeal is too dry for me otherwise!), coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: homemade cottage cheese
AS: choice of light yogurt, crustless protein pumpkin pie, or baby carrots with 2 T hummus
D: other half of this "healthy" breakfast burrito I had yesterday (yes -they call it their "healthy option" (not arguing with the name, though!)). The half consists of: 1/2 whole wheat tortilla, one egg white, tomato pesto, mushrooms, spinach broccoli
ES (if needed): light yogurt
I get blood draws every 3 months for other meds that I'm on. We throw on a ferritin when I ask. The whole panel every year. My nutritional labs are spot on. Just need IV iron.
I ate hummus, ham swiss cheese, and yogurt today. I had my glass of wine because it was Opera day! I ate half of a dead Quest bar.
