What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
hi all
quick one about to have a call.
QOTD: I do one big panel once a year then have a 6 month iron checkup with my hemotologist. Plus the bloodwork at PDP.
So saturday I ran errands, gym, etc. Got home and the roads started slicking out. had lots of ice. on top of that we ran out of propane so i got the fire started all by myself and kept it up. then saturday night I could not sleep so I stayed downstairs and fed the fire with wood. DH was upstairs with the electric heater going so we both were warm. Yesterday DH called in sick and stayed in with me.
My weight is a bit up today for no good reason. so more more water today!
A few cool finds on saturday: I got a wire dog crate at the charity shop for humane society for $10 and when i went to starbucks, they had HUGE bags of coffee grounds for free for gardens. so Im super happy about that! I'm prepping now I'm hoping to have the BEST garden ever this year. Need to get to work on my plan!
Food for today
coffee
water
coffee
prot pancakes
turkey
spicy roast stew with spag squash
after work: GYM!! Going to have a longer session today. only did 40 min on saturday
I'm so sorry you are still suffering from that migraine. Could it be from pre-menopausal hormones? The only time I got migraines was in that period (play on words not intended).
My weekend was good. We found a great local fish place to eat at with good prices. I also did some final painting in my kitchen (chalkboard backsplash). After I condition it in 3 days, I can start writing on it!
QOTD: I only have my bloodwork done annually, but I have a VSG. I don't think we have the same issues with ferritin than those with RNY do? Regardless, I regularly take my vitamins including iron.
2 Years 9.5 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years, 1.5 months)

Good Morning Daisy and Menu crew. Sorry to hear you are still suffering.
Weekend was great, spent the weekend in Buffalo Ny, saw a Sabres game. It is always nice to weigh yourself on a Monday morning and see that you are down .4 of a pound when you ate in restaurants for the weekend. Very proud of my renewed commitment to myself. I will get to my goal by April!!!!
QOTD - I get a yearly panel done and to this point that has been sufficient, I take my vitamins with iron as I am supposed to as well.
B - Spinach, bacon and cheese egg casserole
S- Ham rollup
L - Tuna salad

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Crew!
I hope everyone's weekend was nice. We got about 5 inches of snow here so I barely left the apartment, but I did go out so my daughter could make a snowman!
QOTD: I had blood work done right before surgery and once again 6 months post op. I'm going to need another round about 10 months post op for plastics. Beyond that, I think I'm going to get it done once a year at my annual primary care check up. I am tracking religiously. I want to know as soon as possible if there is an issue, and looking at trends is the easiest way to do that. If you have the information available to you, why not make use?
Accountability: So, obviously I have been struggling with uncontrolled binging episodes. Over the weekend I decided to take NYMom advice and up my calories a bit (may to around 1,000). Also I meal preped yesterday every single meal I'll eat this week. Hopefully these steps will allow me to reduce the binges.

Good morning Menu pals! We had a good weekend - Sixers on Friday night (they lost to a horrible team and it was a sad, sad affair, but I still got to yell obscenities in public, so a win for me), Saturday in NYC for the History of Magic exhibit (no traffic FTW, but the exhibit was SOOOOO packed it made it a bit less enjoyable), and a Sunday of yoga, grocery shopping, food prep, and knitting (DH was crushed by the Eagles defeat though).
This morning on my way to work I was listening to a podcast totally unrelated to food, but the host started talking about how she had become a "dominatrix to her food" and it was amazing! She said she had always been submissive to food, but changed her relationship over the last year and now she's the "master." Had me laughing out loud in the car.
QOTD: I'm a once a year-er, but probably should be more often. But the truth? I probably won't, so many other things to worry about lately, I can't fathom adding this in too.
4 years, 10 months post-RNY
B: egg muffins made with Eggbeaters, diced ham, and shredded cheese + coffee - this morning I tried using Fairlife milk instead of half & half, but have decided the extra 25 calories are worth it to me for the half &half
S: apple
L: chicken salad on a Fiber One wrap and a string cheese
S: PB crackers, that probably aren't the best choice, but...I have them in my office from when I was making REALLY not great choices and they're calling to me, so, I'll plan them in today
D: mini meatloaf and a bit of baked sweet potato
S: Ever Roast chicken + goat cheese
E: Aqua Zumba night!!
Have a lovely Monday, all!

Morning all from snowy MD!
This was out the door yesterday morning at almost 6 inches. We've had another 4-5 inches since for a total around 10, which is a big snow for us. I cleared everything before dark yesterday but we've had more since that so more shoveling again today. The rest of the gov't is closed today but our telework agreement requires us to work online if we are equipped, so no snow day for me!
Yesterday was the 6th anniversary of my legal marriage to DW and next month is 14 years that we've been together. I made a special meal, filet mignon, MD crab cake & roasted asparagus, which was lovely.
I did also have a TJ's mini mint chocolate chip ice cream cookie for dessert, so not all on plan, but definitely protein forward.
QOTD: I get my labwork done every 6 months and keep track of it myself. My surgeon isn't particularly good about keeping up with it but my PCP is happy to write the orders.
Menu:
B: coffee, ham
S: Isopure protein shake w/ coffee
L: leftover steak w/ spinach, asparagus, goat cheese & SG balsamic vinaigrette
S: Chomps
D: leftover crab cake
E: cyber workout with my trainer PLUS more shoveling!
